" u9 V+ T. o% O/ q8 E% n+ V/ v% ]Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. This individual reports to the ISP program manager and provides support to all members of the ISP team.

1 y. n# `( a; V6 Q4 c- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
- k/ K6 S S: W2 M s1 l# j- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
1 D0 C- Y {8 |3 c: g8 F- [/ ^/ \- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services

- coordinate good will activities

- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc., }5 s) S, D- H$ I; P* R5 U
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities

- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications( a9 `/ F' J4 }
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education

- experience in community work and immigrant services0 K7 m1 Y* f5 j9 p6 x4 x. ~
- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars6 \/ L% h) D& B
- leadership skills
