INGREDIENTS:

• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour ( if you don’t like the trouble, use all-purpose flour)

• 4 eggs, well beaten) I) ?% ~" s4 V% v
PREPARATION:7 r c% M# a; W) ~9 L5 P
Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition. " ^% f; f& D, r3 m$ V
Turn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
9 B$ e3 [6 Q$ R: O) s# s+ R, | T- WBake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

3 M( a- I6 m% a- _I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.
