ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
- W. \! ~* W! [University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
3 [2 w& _7 [6 y0 l& H0 Sstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

) {* Z8 G2 f! \/ ]+ ?6 j* U5 zQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
. ?2 P2 n7 b  E3 H/ Z: jrelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
6 \& [; b3 d) g8 p9 V0 T5 O$ o5 k! fover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
