ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
/ k' X2 l/ c5 p6 J9 g( GUniversity of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
( |' C" y/ K; ]* T* z' j$ Irecombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
. R& z" `( I% Jstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
) @) Z0 c: Z* Q) F% ^9 @! ^% fto apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
- }3 |% h$ q5 c8 v. K% V, xobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
* e  ^- [' o" N  G1 Lrequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
% }" d1 U8 t- C1 }2 N, J, Ocloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
6 t9 ?+ f8 J( S8 @over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
# r: E9 I: R0 m( e0 U9 Baccurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
0 f2 [5 A/ A/ C2 p  j5 l7 bsalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
