ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
; |/ ~% m/ {4 O! N2 sstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
6 U' E' B8 I4 Q6 m- K$ xobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
3 t  s, |/ D; \+ x& \related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
2 b# B2 \& G8 y& M; W. O  x/ q# Xfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
* T. ]# h6 B; G5 ocloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
/ Z0 H; ?) Q4 c; f* H, m$ _is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
8 O) U! \5 x: Vthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
3 U; H0 K' m* P* ^0 m6 Saccurate and complete research records.

salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
