Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individuals to fill the following two positions:

/ s7 O) T; i2 X9 xPosition Title: Outreach Worker (Full time: 35 hours per week)

4 V1 v* W. ?0 J% OJob Description
4 d, v& S2 V1 }-        promote ISP and other programs and services to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
-        contact with various media: i.e. newspaper, radio, website and newsletter etc.
-        update and develop brochures, pamphlets, information packages and newsletter etc.
-        promote, organize and coordinate activities for Newcomers Club as well as recruit and maintain new members for the Club.
-        ISP report writing, data collection, evaluations conduct and budget management.
-        assist with volunteer recruitment and other business and services as needed and assigned.

( Z& o# Q$ A/ h! I4 K% h/ I-        post-secondary degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline
: i; z) r7 v; \, ~-        relevant experience with community work
+ r, J1 n$ C7 l& S. H; ^-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
& h2 @, S  I2 q& Y$ M$ W' F
Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker (Full time: 35 hours per week)

-        answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
-        assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
- l1 M, o4 L! y, v, l, Q- q-        report to the program manager and provide clerical support to all members of the ISP team

( z  Y- M# m. Y% ?  R-        post secondary diploma
-        customer service and office clerical experiences
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
