, {" B/ m1 M( v$ G$ J: q# eThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
* S/ b5 c0 P. l6 Ubecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.& @" z! K7 F) j, d& `
2 v# i! M% h8 J5 t! P% w2 _" JTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials" e( m s. R" d: X
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different, z E7 D$ [* \1 n, Y: A, H
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.! H( O+ ` c# O# h/ y( B; c, H
