Job Description

- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
8 Y0 ^$ y0 X3 I# \/ E- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:

1 X/ c* y0 X0 }7 B5 j( _- customer service and office clerical experiences

Job Description
( V, B7 N3 v& B% J) z) ^4 @- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community; f4 T! Q8 T1 N2 M3 U! n3 l, n
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
2 v; z- P ~ P' B& `2 ^) u0 s- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services* b! R! m, p+ Z+ D
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
! x( ?) W% z5 j& A7 D- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members! k2 A, k5 W( N! g& Y( r! t2 z5 V
- update ASSIST website
: v& j9 L$ k* j1 P- k# A7 _6 B- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre d8 w' ^0 z7 N! E& V# k
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services, E: T4 }( L7 \$ a6 Z( w% b
- assist in writing proposal for ISP* V. r8 A) E1 E
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP3 _, E2 F v" R9 Y! D
- hold regular meetings with ISP team/ ]" }9 u' Y% N; M7 `$ ?* g9 P
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time: W/ T5 V' J- Y6 W6 i& J; i
- update membership database

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education ( F$ j" o3 x$ c% o
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills* \/ s- z, k- }/ Q- P
- experience in community work and immigrant services
