Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

(Full time: 35 hours per week)

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.4 D6 X9 i' \. P# r, r. R
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker

/ r+ {7 l4 p# B* M- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community1 e1 m" M, i/ o/ Y1 ^: p0 E
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
9 H# j( v* A8 ^1 _7 _- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services3 J5 Q+ t8 x0 Z9 m) F
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
- T! w. m8 k* B: l* E9 O- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members Y5 p4 \6 L, X& _
- update ASSIST website
& B/ p8 h; u+ G% k9 x$ p/ }/ o- L1 @- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre8 T6 a$ M' ?. a I4 }" \6 y5 e3 Z% `
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services' M! h, x1 D% k, e/ V5 I
- assist in writing proposal for ISP

- hold regular meetings with ISP team

- update membership database+ }- ~5 A9 N' J' Z
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
1 Y" Z* l' a: o+ Q! I; z- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
$ l: H) {8 ?. t- C" W& ~- experience in community work and immigrant services
