Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker
(Full time: 35 hours per week)
% b& W7 e' z2 Y# `1 qJob Description
-        answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
-        assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
9 t6 P: q. v  {( E& f5 o-        reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:
- x) |" Q2 o9 @9 O+ g' b" x-        post secondary diploma
-        customer service and office clerical experiences
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

(Full time: 35 hours per week)

-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
1 }& @# h! C- ~5 h5 H2 y5 c-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
7 l5 ]; S5 T9 J5 K& C- B-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
4 o- `5 S7 R) z- p-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
+ |: P; g8 f" W) j" F& z-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
6 p" P* ]- b0 [4 [-        assist in writing proposal for ISP
-        write quarterly and final reports for ISP
-        hold regular meetings with ISP team
/ t" [- ~3 b0 R3 a9 u3 ~* P# Q6 m-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
: n6 f) j$ [$ O: ^$ R/ P& E-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
