- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker U9 L9 i% Q$ E4 R/ X
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team. S4 k' \, P' a8 e3 h

Job Description
1 _; D5 k3 f; E" Q) L- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
/ O& u! b# v) G- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services) o, z `0 t6 [. @0 d/ ~
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
0 ?* V" p( X, n8 u) c/ F- l- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies0 C0 d2 B& {" L/ t* B
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members6 V7 Z" b0 {; A3 N. z
- update ASSIST website
K& b" Y, \, K$ n6 t- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre( G! Z- k+ ?/ x7 P
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
( ~1 ]9 y0 I' [2 \- assist in writing proposal for ISP3 `9 A4 l5 p' H1 k- |7 Y. P
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP& H: w5 @5 w5 F
- hold regular meetings with ISP team8 P* H8 f! b& z! r6 S2 \
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time, | n" x% ~8 K6 ^2 f% R" _ D6 ^
- update membership database- }. J, w1 i+ B. a% L( E6 k
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required); A7 l. ~: E& H8 ^

Qualifications
# J! R/ w' S; z- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
, { j1 F; r# k! R7 A& e- good oral and written Chinese and English skills8 k6 _* `( h+ V! }) I- R2 p; A
- experience in community work and immigrant services
+ T% R% q- Z! q- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
