超速罚款 in Calgary

I am a student from U of A and now I am living in Calgary for my placement. I just got a speeding ticket last week because I speed in a playground area. (I drove 43 in that area) However, the road beside the playground is a main street, so I did not really know there is a small playground there, plus I am new to Calgary. I just wonder if I can ask for any DISCOUNT in edmonton police office in downtown since I am still a student, and the penalty for that is pretty expensive. Or I have to ask for the discount in Calgary? The due day for the ticket is the end of May. Can anyone comment on that?

I guess you should go to the court of calgary, because it is there where the police gave you a ticket. Good luck!

Calgary police is very straight on playground speeding, especially the portion on east side of 7th street SE.
