Our product makes extensive use of virtualization capabilities offered by leading vendors in the market.

5 e, i/ B) C5 O8 m3 F$ hDataGardens seeks experienced Software Engineers to aid in the development and enhancement of our software products. The selected candidates will get an opportunity to work in a fact paced emerging market with huge growth potential.

Responsibilities include:

    * Participation in projects with a team of engineers involved in designing, developing, and testing distributed systems.
/ n% h0 Q9 D& Q7 W: Z! Z/ _  j    * Independently and rapidly developing several software modules broadly related to RAID controller functionality.
1 x7 P' A& x2 x- x) t$ M2 p( R. [    * Designing and modifying the Linux kernel as needed to support the required functionality.
: V+ Z7 |4 K$ l! G    * Developing test plans / test cases and writing appropriate scripts for the same.

    * Proficiency in software development.
+ b" Y3 c" g! o' T' n$ G) N    * Good programming skills are a must. Requires experience in C and Java Programming.
+ R2 ?8 z( r+ U( e    * Familiarity with a Linux programming environment is required; including topics such as:
  _* Z0 X1 \3 `& M. }          o Multi-process (e.g. forked) or threaded execution, semaphores, task switching, IPC and memory management.
4 ^% v1 I. b: t          o Debuggers and Profilers
- s1 ]. k0 [. Y8 r1 S          o Interacting with external software (system calls, syslog, etc)
( _% I, a5 b3 z  s    * Familiarity with Linux Kernel development will be an asset.
    * Knowledge of how to use VMWare is desirable.
# u( l) h  I; s  f" H9 a    * Hands-on scripting experience using TCL/Expect, Perl or Python.
    * Basic networking knowledge
" X% z" |0 _/ z4 r    * Knowledge of version control software.

    * Bachelor's degree in Computing science, Computer engineering, or a closely related field is required. A Master's degree in a related field would be an asset.
) Z3 a5 Y+ y* J% U    * 2-3 years of industrial experience is desirable.
