SOS!申请NAIT，紧急求助！

我是新移民，学士，目前还在国内，打算申请今年秋季NAIT的Electrical Engineering Technology Program.紧急求助！

我已经递交了ON-LINE申请，并付了申请费。并且按照NAIT要求向Office of the Registrar 寄出了个人材料：包括国内大学和高中的成绩单，课程描述，TOEFL成绩，移民纸复印件等。

但我却接到来自Office of the Registrar的E-mail,说他们不评估国际文件，需要由I.Q.A.S评估。
以下是原文：You will have to get your foreign documents evaluated by I.Q.A.S. We do not evaluate foreign documents. You may also wish to contact the International Education Services here in Edmonton. Contact the International Advisor, Chris Dews at cdews@nait.ca.

我该怎么办？自己把以上文件再寄一份给I.Q.A.S？

建议你申请EMCN和Nait 合作的工程师课程Electrical Engineering Technology ，如果你在国内有相关工作经验和学历，只要准备国内的大学毕业和工作经历的英文翻译件，大学成绩单（含学时或学分），每年9月份申请，次年1月份开学，学时10个月。如果能够入学，这个program是政府支持的，有Funding。
好处：1:Accelerated加速学完，学完拿Nait的certificate,再学若干课程，可拿Nait的deploma。这个课程和这儿的相关工程师协会也有合作，目标是帮助你尽快找到专业工作。
      2。10个月内，学费，书本费，政府全cover（象我们的会计师课程，学费书本费这一项，政府付费合计10000加元，不需要还。）
      3，上学期间，申请的生活补助，不需要还。这一点和ESL一样，申请的标准和要求一模一样。
——就是你不用出1分钱，上这个课程，政府“投资”你上。也不用担心生活费用来源。但你要用功读，幸运的话，毕业能找到相关专业工作。

Develop English language skills in the areas of technical communication, presentation skills, and technical writing

我非常适合这个Program，我的情况是这样的：在国内是一个电力设计工程师，有十余年的专业工作经验。

而且我一直在寻找这样一个学习和进入加拿大本专业的契机和机会。我非常希望学这个Program。

但是我浏览了一下这个网站，似乎没有找到关于这个Program更加深入的介绍，如课程设置，申请手续等。你是在这个学校读得吗？希望能和你多交流。一个短信，请接收。

有对申请NAIT or SAIT了解的朋友吗？国内的成绩单等文件一定要I.Q.A.S评估吗？评估费100加元呢。更重要的是很耗时间，也许会耽误9月的入学。

再一个，如果一定要付费评估的话，怎么联系I.Q.A.S评估，哪些材料要评估？
都要准备哪些材料？

我看了你的情况，背景不错，应该没问题。
你应该申请2006年1-10月份的Program。按理2005年9月份与这个中心联系申请。或者你有空可以把你的Resume发Email 给Otavian，告诉他你对这个Prgogram 感兴趣，把你的托福成绩告诉他，或是Benchmark成绩。他是这个Program 的Manager。（他人非常好，他也会说几句简单中文。）你可以向他咨询需要准备什么及课程设制。
我在学这期的会计program,工程师班就在我们隔壁上课。
——就我的经验，你所需的就是上次我说的工作经历国内的英文公证件和（有学时数或学分的）大学成绩单英文证明，毕业证书或/及学位证书。
你所需要准备的主要是你专业方面的基础知识，到今年十一，二月份他们会选择条件合适人选面试，面试主要是评价你的最基本的专业知识和语言能力。我认识一个这期在学的电力工程师，他告诉我面试大约是“描述你的工作经验”，可能会找个图纸指着要你解释。反正找本专业的英语方面的书看看，主要是基本的专业术语。他们不是想为难你，只是为了确定你有这方面的基本知识和工作经验。

You have to evaluate your document to IQAS by yourself. Nait does not care about it. You can send another one to IQAS. It might take couple weeks. That's OK. Just cost some money. Good luck.

昨天刚刚问我们班同学的——
工作经历公证不是must的。我在国内已经办理了，所以我申请这个program时提供了公证，但我的同班同学好几个并不需要提供工作经历公证，在加拿大，普遍地，大家相信你简历上提供的你的个人工作经历。
所以可以省点精力和钱啦！——不用特别准备工作经历公证！
