; U0 E+ a v/ u5 aForeign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel says a plane is on the way to southern China carrying clothing, medical supplies, generators and tents for victims of the May 12 earthquake.

The earthquake has left at least 62,664 people dead and an estimated five million homeless.
