* Provides routine technical and administrative support for sample preparations and mineral separation for isotopic analysis ? j1 E$ x1 K0 x0 h9 y% F
* Conducts mineral separation, sample imaging, grant mount preparation, sample weighing and iron exchange chromatography
4 b& d% B9 E* \0 ~+ ~ * Provides training to graduate students, visiting scientists on preparation techniques
% j# w8 i' n% N/ a8 v' H# Z * Compiles analytical data using standard office software such as Excel, Word and Corel for use by the PI or client! O! i$ S5 W% K# O2 K
* Performs routine maintenance on equipment and lab husbandry
3 {* D4 r2 E& @7 b: _, v2 A& L V * Orders supplies, maintains lab records, maintain WHMIS records and compliance labeling, maintains lab inventory and safe disposal of chemicals

* Provides administrative support by maintaining records, (usage and expenses) and prepares invoices

Qualifications1 p( t+ z5 [+ M# v% V

* Post Secondary diploma in laboratory technology, Chemistry or Earth Sciences; BSc in Geology or Chemistry preferred1 G2 {1 X/ H: w9 G: T& B8 D4 l j
* 1-2 years experience working in a research environment (analytical chemistry lab or geochemical lab)1 O U& R& J* S% F3 R
* Computer proficiency using MS Office applications and Corel
