4 d/ R* N& k' E& Y, O' W( dKey responsibilities: overseeing the day-to-day activities/operations of the program; recruitment, training & supervision of volunteers for the program; recruitment/orientation of participants; matching newcomers with community volunteers & monitoring the matches; planning other program activities; maintain computer dBase record of services/activities.% X- k, K3 o+ J8 F' X# Q; F
- w4 [% D$ q" }9 j# l+ v" HPLUS: act as a resource person; fulfill program accountability requirements; collaborate, network with other organizations /professionals liaison with ethno-cultural & immigrant community organizations; represent EISA at meetings and functions related to the program. ) Q* T" a% k' O: z
9 [1 Y' R- ]! l# x# X& {+ t9 I0 NKey Qualifications - Degree or Diploma in social work, social sciences or related areas. > Special requirements include: 2-3 years experience in program coordination; excellent interpersonal/communication skills, cultural sensitivity; knowledge & experience in volunteer management; good knowledge of available community resources/services. $ l* t8 a5 M" e3 b$ a/ F# l- }
; r# s0 c/ t$ s- M7 Y+ m3 g* T; PPLUS: demonstrated computer skills in MS Excel, Access, internet & dBase management programs; experience working with immigrant families and/or settlement services, community development or non-profit org. an asset.
