# W& `3 m( `% p* g0 ?7 ], E7 l# S; APosition Abstract: as a community organizer you will be responsible for providing training to residents of an inner city community who are actively involved in creating strategies for a healthier neighbourhood. Working towards ensuring wide participation by residents/organizations in the local community you will assist in reinforcing inclusivity. " H- d- f" d. f; F9 Q
4 j; h8 J! B7 W w) ^PLUS: a capable advocate for alternative dispute resolution, you will liaise between the community and elected officials/municipal administration, assisting in the development of a strong working relationship between these groups.

" Y9 v# U. A& G% H) @1 }Education & Experience: the position calls for an individual with education in the humanities or related field + 2 years experience in the field of community organizing. Special interest in ecological literacy and sustainable communities will be an asset. / N1 e/ R" l' R# Q1 c" F( T
: d! e' L6 z4 z6 Z/ b9 xOther Skills: the successful candidate will have a strong background in building group capacity & seeing projects through to completion. There is a significant element of research and an opportunity for creativity in assisting residents to address community challenges.
