; z. x8 t* f7 G2 E. T8 K    * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region
    * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group
    * Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators
    * Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations
    * Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses
$ P; A+ J) O! t2 X9 M" g    * Advocates to meet the health, social and safety needs of LGBTTQ and questioning youth
% g2 N: a: ~' O8 ?- C* O    * Researches and develops a LGBTTQ youth mentoring program
    * Develops, implements and monitors a LGBTTQ youth risk and needs assessment
    * Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports
. ^/ \+ W' S4 k3 r1 G+ k    * Develops promotional materials such as posters, brochures, and displays to promote the youth group and mentoring programs
    * Participates in the development of leadership training and educational programming at Camp fYrefly
    * Supports University of Alberta campus organizations for sexual minority students and gay-straight student alliances in local high schools and communities
    * Develops a communications and advertising strategy targeting community agencies, youth groups/programs, and schools

Qualifications
( }! m! ^: w$ d+ S- }% W4 p
    * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
    * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
  |( J0 W3 [  J. H$ D' A+ {0 M3 _    * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies
    * Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs
& y+ ~2 D: w+ H/ u" `# S) A    * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community
    * Fundraising skills an asset
& I, u: S: Z/ D    * Demonstrated experience in development of youth group programming, community outreach,volunteer management and training and conflict resolution skills
    * Outstanding group facilitation, training, and counselling skills
    * Proven leadership, and strong team, and relationship building skills
