* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program1 T. V5 }% @/ i. K/ B! |) X
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities* E0 G' A4 o3 q( _: m5 }& n' ?
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes/ \ H/ f( I3 @- j4 h: w
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat6 n5 I7 p3 Y- p( P
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders: t% c. s; \/ E# r+ l
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements# L+ w s! w* ~* y- S3 w- [
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
% P4 I& H! o5 B; a8 B * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
' z6 K9 K7 L! b' q * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning& G1 ]1 G8 K9 w
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials; A- a- T* K9 R# d1 B+ }+ T! ]
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media* \) M4 ?) U" ~. l* }0 V' l) R
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results6 S7 r0 w" A9 f
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies2 N5 U' T# j3 K2 ]0 U5 U5 D) \

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred8 @+ f; u( s7 ~
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
2 R. h4 M4 Q) ]! d6 t$ W3 W, I * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset: S+ B4 c# r2 g3 i$ l ^5 H
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
! G: y- j! k- D7 h * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
; H8 ?! {* }/ R9 C$ g' `, j( ? * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning

* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
