    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
5 E$ I( s- o4 F* \" ?9 [7 h$ W9 Z    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities8 S- H8 J  [; _/ j8 ~3 Y3 v
    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes) A4 h1 I' ^! x8 C, t: Z
    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
3 l% {9 |( u. u2 j    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
6 H! F4 p7 I" l; p4 s2 B# J  h' k( u& z+ Z    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
; _1 J2 v, G( M$ g) p    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs1 H9 T' m  b8 c
    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
; L( E( P( N" B) x) Y2 ~4 ~    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media$ N3 q9 V8 e5 `' @- E0 q+ I
    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results) ^3 e$ |' ~; p/ Q
    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies' s( H& s8 ?4 f4 M

) c% o" e4 x, ?& B# V. n3 F9 c# n# ^' `0 A: Z
    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
" A  Q; ~- I+ s4 x. O+ \+ \  W8 |    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
( p  a2 N2 W; E" Z' R# |    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
0 o* {9 C$ O5 Y* V    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
3 t9 U1 ~6 Q9 {, [    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills4 h: E7 H" K  x' d+ @
    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
( {8 V% T4 q- }" W, ^) B    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)0 e  R; j. F% j: n
