3 H8 d; V9 l- D1 ?3 W8 L! @ * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
3 n- p- D; c d* {& A8 s0 O" R! U * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
1 `, s9 S3 y) y& g* `. D * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
2 S; Y) Y2 z u5 c( X( p9 F/ d * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
( ]2 N2 S, A6 Z) ^ * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
- M3 r( K# M% B7 w1 t; U" K * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements5 [; u- i# W8 k* B" h
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
$ U/ y8 Y6 j2 w7 H9 {% e4 p * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials

* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results& ~$ o0 R) b( v
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications
4 ]9 N, X- p* x' B) m0 n) g& i( {6 q1 Q3 h6 Y+ |
* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred: @* `8 j" V& a8 }6 L7 j2 x
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
7 \& o& z2 \6 d! H- W# U * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset0 |7 ^6 c! \5 ]4 T* r
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies. R0 t4 ?- T$ R6 S: _: h
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills8 u( ?% l1 W' R! Z* c# x3 w" H# s4 K
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning8 w/ T. ], s2 m$ s0 g6 j' L
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
