, Z6 m- V6 l3 n9 k * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
: J/ L" r% W+ B, V' O4 m( D * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities9 v3 @% d, ^' @0 {5 n9 c
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes0 H. U( i. B! r5 y4 G/ ?
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
- @4 |8 m4 O) M7 Q * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders% h& ~7 d* T( y+ i A: A
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
o+ [$ {! n5 C+ M( _ * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs" M8 G7 p$ |/ T: J
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director! z* ^/ T o# q, h
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning/ H# D/ S8 p0 l
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials' P1 t- f7 _/ e& ]. U* R) E3 L
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies! C, e8 o! ?( I s) _ g/ \

Qualifications
' g$ Z8 i% M& P/ k6 o8 L4 E6 k( `; O' `! [7 B
* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred9 c6 _) N2 Y3 C, r* G
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth% k' n. J# F! Y4 w3 i+ N# c
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset5 N) ]( l: @7 B0 h' g
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
& X! h0 R7 v- z- s- |, J( B * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills& t- d. {) i: T! f
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning7 n$ K, l3 O" E; n" W# W8 r0 C! V3 I
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
