Calder Seniors Drop In Society has an immediate opening for a full time Outreach Coordinator position.

A' y; w' s4 k' I  zReporting to the Executive Director this position is responsible to provide assistance to isolated and at risk seniors; to support seniors to “age in place” in the community and to enhance the overall well-being of seniors within the membership of the Calder Seniors Drop In Centre.
" }- z* m7 L1 W" x+ ^* [Qualifications:
, j% M$ b" l; O5 D6 A* ~* j% }•        Diploma/degree in Social work, Recreation/Leisure/Physical Education, Family Studies or a related discipline with training in Program Development and specialty training in gerontology.
, U$ J5 r" ?/ h: J1 c
# K7 @) Q6 W+ t8 x) [2 L•        A minimum of   2-3 years experience in co-ordination and program delivery of seniors recreational, social and leisure programs.

/ C6 \3 |5 `6 W( n•        Develop and provide programs to increase the wellness and decrease isolation of seniors in Calder Communities.

. m( G, n( ~: q) b4 A2 ?+ V  P1 K+ b•        Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Premium including; Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point.

( Q: ^1 ^+ t; X2 B•        Provide outreach services to isolated seniors living in the target area

* F1 t: p8 a, n4 J; D+ O4 Z& `% K•        Coordinate the activities, volunteers, and clients of Calder Seniors Drop In Centre and other outreach programs.

% H# B: O9 e0 E  a) l1 A$ w4 W( j•        Strong communication (written &verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

! S1 @$ [1 p' p9 _% H•        Ability to carry out assignments of confidential nature and handle appropriately.

•        Must have a vehicle for use during employment and personal cell phone at their disposal for use during employment.

To be eligible for hire, candidates will be required to complete a Security Clearance Check satisfactory to the Calder Seniors Drop In Society.
