As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications.
! m9 G. }! I. c6 F! Y1 h- l RAs part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:4 g1 w8 O3 M9 I7 z9 l
Convert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off. , g( J! }% l0 E. Z
Create process and data models to visually represent requirements information.
8 A' {$ {8 U- u% n J* d& rPerform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing.
1 z- }' C# E% |. Z8 QAssist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase. 5 |: M& \$ j2 R. o6 A1 b
Support, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production.
- v# X" I7 m- Y) zAnalyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems. v7 W7 g: o: i1 F2 u
Assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications. 7 x5 }4 f- Z0 C- |
Summarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement.
* Y7 \4 h2 M) q$ ?1 E! bResponsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables. / c& |& V. M! x
Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset
8 k p, S- i5 J' j+ ~• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
1 ]$ R5 V% R8 Z• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.( j7 i- z8 R4 Q }& B0 ~2 e7 b
• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework.
" W3 S5 @0 ^: @: ?) c* T( \• Exceptional consultation skills are critical, with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.
