A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.2 `. q; E. V6 F- |' @/ r
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and
! s% a& }4 h ~. ~4 \knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

7 [' Q# L' W1 s) a0 I) m1 i, v! {• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)! e* Q% B: z! E+ E* `* n( k" x
• Standard Child Care First Aid
( J2 `9 H9 f# v+ e$ M• WHMIS
8 j! x! V) h4 }% b• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
$ l F6 h- G1 ?! b. G2 A1 N• Components to improve communication skills
7 Z: p) {% J9 g! S9 P# K6 }• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search

Eligibility Criteria
2 |3 g9 i# r0 J# j/ t• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen- T+ {# x# s! z0 K6 q6 |
of Canada
7 u! O$ ~! b. K. m( N! J* @4 |• have a Social Insurance Number
7 \+ K/ T j: N, v- }+ c2 x• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check/ b, t2 Z1 X2 P( r3 O
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent$ b5 z4 X) V; w
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time
5 P- N5 I' A9 _" u% wprogram* X. F V+ n! Q$ o
Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet% q) {& }& q6 C- C8 T* b( s! w; B) [* ~
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:

They CANNOT quit their job to take the course6 a: [; H7 S0 H; R& {
