Duties
3 K. [" D/ M" S
. [( P) z% e; p    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
: V' I! s; Y! I) H    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
7 O5 e; e( g; x! K2 d: A- n+ D4 o    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
4 p+ T) F: r2 `# L/ b, x    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
% ?3 O) D+ G) r1 o" z7 B! L: f    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

3 A! H9 @& x: g- w: {; p* g本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


  Y% U, I/ p+ V; G3 n好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

2 D/ D3 W/ d: Q' }) S; c6 VSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

# |6 B) Y1 E! |, b" M6 v* [3 ~9 l5 wti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
