Duties

) w( L9 L! G) J8 [8 h    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
+ r- ~3 C, W* Z) z2 c2 p/ m    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

+ ?! Z0 h& J% W/ o3 D. C5 Q本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
- |( ^2 a# M* Z! w+ m; ^Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
! R' S& X9 K2 c' ]9 p' n- V& Rwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
