    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
1 v6 e# U7 C& K, S% A2 x! U; v    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
7 @1 X# i+ _1 w4 J: S    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
4 z  P' ?# G. J8 Z! ~. u. W5 V    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
2 U4 j# r7 ]3 Uwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.
# x; F* e5 @: O* G: H5 g4 @+ X
6 L1 A3 b8 q" L9 g( Jti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
