* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications* P: H* x! _) Z2 M1 Q' d% w
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis% L% B( q2 s6 P/ q
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance9 ]! P/ M8 i/ d) q
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students 1 A# W6 A6 O" ?4 ]/ D- D& p- b
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
