) w( L9 L! G) J8 [8 h * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications( @& n+ n; L( {' D0 O& p
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis: R b4 e' N7 e5 T- g, B3 a% x
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
+ r- ~3 C, W* Z) z2 c2 p/ m * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students 9 m. k7 c; l/ _( y$ A. Q$ T$ t8 P
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
