- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program " d" N N: K+ w0 z( I$ w
(ages 6 to 15)
) z; t! }/ o5 a5 ^$ c) m- Recruit children for summer programs
" Z% [ ?; d3 T9 S- Recruit volunteers for summer programs" W6 [" @8 ]8 B* G
- Record keeping! c& O2 w; }- W5 E
- Provide orientation for parents% a. Q1 {/ B8 \& n
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
# W* E: Z4 T2 g- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager6 N/ z& V! I; E& P* E" R, y$ ~0 t7 m5 D' d
: g% S7 V" t1 H4 MQualifications:
) e: O5 @3 I6 y2 P- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education. p. G1 P- ^/ P8 y8 {( x
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
& p" |) b% {8 t2 d8 a" o- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills% M1 k, h: n6 s9 }
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities

- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities

- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009. m) W6 }+ p. S$ g8 n
