Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program # C, q% A* D+ c- N+ C7 U* s
(ages 6 to 15)

- Recruit volunteers for summer programs' ~3 q6 E3 L: N5 G' l" \( D* D/ D
- Record keeping
# `* c% {+ p7 Y; m' G) L- Provide orientation for parents
# m* V) Y2 j) x0 b8 v* U- p6 T- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency

) l) x, h9 n7 o, B9 d" Z9 ]Qualifications:9 m8 X5 G& z% j4 Z
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
9 X2 v; c4 I- D6 w. M' \( Y4 ]- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children( Q/ O, n. k2 |' \
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
3 X. W2 h( d0 m- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
6 w, F0 }2 y& C6 L2 D0 N- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
% J' c9 W7 H" ~( q1 }+ F+ h$ g! o0 N- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities

Other Information:
4 T- t8 m' @1 L- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) & G, M q4 \$ ~! d4 c# y' n
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)1 S O- }& j* Q: d! A* J D9 g
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009/ |1 G0 f' Z/ W( q& U% [
