Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009/ E+ F) j" V* Q) h# X; M
- D: b- Y) u, \- WResponsibilities:
1 G& @& S4 g# d- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program % R' q: M; i$ m* ?5 v* ^) ]/ j ^% u
(ages 6 to 15) " G5 W! \1 k, l9 t$ q/ m/ n4 Q
- Recruit children for summer programs
% n6 h5 q9 ?( Y' p5 {* P- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
# M! M" O1 E* r% ]- Record keeping) c8 }8 B6 z9 ?- C7 \
- Provide orientation for parents
+ \! ]0 V* j! |' J7 Y t. h- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
/ B1 m4 g: s6 M1 n- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager5 f0 P# Z( @2 u) J1 j+ _0 c5 @
3 G4 {% c, S! H2 ]+ P. z; i- aQualifications:
: ?& |2 P0 ^4 v$ F+ k2 g: c- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education, c2 y0 B& s) N) h
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
0 w5 U6 D- C; z F- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
7 a( O; t0 U' N: l! G! w- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
4 Y( O$ O6 f% M" p; r7 q- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
; Q9 l3 S' Z9 V: L# _- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
" \5 F% w* f( A) n4 \" C- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other Information:
% I% R- j) O7 R) K* @# u" F$ F8 J# S- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) ) L. o4 W" q* P$ i, |/ H' Z
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)6 d' d" D7 [+ u
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009- B! d+ s* I9 u3 k. D9 k/ D* J2 P

Salary
