Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

Responsibilities:
# [8 I g. N3 W2 }9 i1 c1 g1 u- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program

- Recruit children for summer programs
0 ?. G0 u; x5 e1 K3 a6 I- Recruit volunteers for summer programs, J: D$ S: a( T E" \
- Record keeping

- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency

- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
6 G$ }3 R( D* @: {/ A- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
2 K4 j/ [2 \7 x5 z; B8 o- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills5 [% R, S- V/ w4 n* M4 r
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities/ C) w9 t# c6 G) h) L8 w( W* U
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) 0 w/ D. a1 U l* q3 x
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)8 I# o8 S! L/ \5 g7 d
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 20099 I1 M. ?* f$ d6 R, h6 ]
