Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:6 o: E9 a# n" b! h
- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the
# m% l7 W% t4 T- K' z4 u preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
( b6 }2 k. [' g- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
* B' B- C) N% o: v* k( ^) ?) K- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies$ ?4 s) Z8 X( ~8 K' n0 E+ V, H
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program

- Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

! Y8 M" [& a/ _, g6 Y2 Q& XQualifications:* [ O7 k9 n) J1 G" x
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood & ?# K" a, c( p" D% I' r( H, K
Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education, F4 z, b" D$ i2 k2 N3 u
- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children' R3 E2 K0 U: _ i* }0 a( W
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
1 S; A6 G- } h } }7 p- w- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
0 M5 j5 \; Q7 I# H! S' t4 F- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese3 _7 t) c/ Z) b2 l0 S0 I
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities

- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

: P* \9 x1 P6 d9 ~0 y9 P; p- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning) ]' R+ r/ T3 p- v4 M! Y9 m
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
