Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the
- J/ z: z+ d2 m- H1 Y preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps1 J4 P5 C j# s9 h+ D- x
- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
+ e: Z2 k4 p) C0 O1 `; _7 I# A- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies/ { @+ F- s y/ j# w" u
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program 9 _1 W4 _/ R, y

- Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:" f8 l0 F& D; i2 y1 N+ h
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
" U- C( p [+ y9 k) M1 H Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
0 f: L2 L2 D' [- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children8 ~0 R5 I. |9 k4 ^% Q8 u+ c% u1 j
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills) K" z& B+ T& [. q6 H
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
6 L8 y, u2 c; m3 B- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
