Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009( L6 M8 Q4 E5 I: H

- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the ; s: ^& ?% T* F" l7 z6 c5 {- H5 \
preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
+ E# [ m1 o9 N6 o1 ]- A9 p6 I- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
+ O: `! _: A# s& \- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies" L% K' {& e0 @6 I [ R9 }8 x& o& |! t; i
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program
& f, T/ G( s+ s) k/ J7 { Coordinator
2 a; D5 N! B" L2 c6 T- t! j- Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

1 k/ R! l: r! uQualifications:
$ E) p$ o6 p* D; ^# ?# T5 A- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
7 i# j6 Q! _ y+ k: f Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education5 R6 N9 O+ `; h. p- c/ _
- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
) b% ~+ w2 @% ?3 f: J- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
* w, Y. P8 S2 _: V p3 P- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities, c7 a/ v/ Q( F: e, W/ f
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
, \* k! \8 m' ? v- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, f% i8 _3 ?' U w% ]
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision6 V' @1 n5 N$ j" U( H- S
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

Other Information:
# b7 `/ Q7 c& P; z! w7 }- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
9 x2 L4 [+ i$ d+ e3 O: c and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
