Youth Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Youth Program Coordinator in the preparation and
$ J- Z. H6 p) X8 W: t        implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Youth Program Coordinator

6 W5 U. L9 x& K3 GQualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
        Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
& N* S5 m  B+ l* U- _. q-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
# {( d" X: e6 D. @-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
0 z9 ]9 w& y, g4 Z& q$ @-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
8 D4 d. F& _; U$ R* M; T: }-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
, p5 W/ i& T! p3 U" P/ Z' g-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
' P7 q$ K9 V$ d- `4 n( N' f        and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
6 a8 K& E/ o( S! D6 v-        Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
