Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
5 e; h7 y+ o$ P) e/ u provide services for Chinese community8 f! U; v. l, D
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population & t% z% |& s% I# b% ^; d1 J" d( P
access to mainstream services
, C( _1 x/ O y* r6 d& o+ p- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
( j. ]+ |3 s3 G- X$ c social services
3 R, ~$ h3 d r' W- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
* I" e' h; z" _% P* v0 a* B5 C# ?6 g- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications# p* _$ K0 C/ Q/ k: g3 o
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
T9 g- Y4 L" G experience and education
: U' p; T G% _9 P- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
6 [* r8 ~* O4 u0 b6 ~8 s# E9 d- experience in community work and immigrant services7 i3 v; v! |! ^3 \; X, H5 |
- experience in website update/design3 g' e- s, n! I1 I, q M% T6 k; u' |
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset. D- ^& y$ r" g* p/ U: B
