Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
Z: C" T+ ^8 {+ ` r# K; \ provide services for Chinese community
7 i# [( d! @* b) Q9 J- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
6 f, K: F. w( u! [6 S4 Q' L5 k access to mainstream services
4 D! ^8 R6 v# X* q9 ^4 h" P$ t- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
$ y- L. K# D9 I- Q+ k social services& W2 p8 S5 @) e
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
4 ?& J" _6 O- c* C7 h; n9 |- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- C X; r0 a+ _2 g. b' w- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
7 v9 g5 w! Q1 N2 n' d- A& p experience and education
6 f; {$ ^6 [0 q5 g: f. u- good oral and written Chinese and English skills9 u" K; G+ M7 h( O* W8 i. N5 j" V
- experience in community work and immigrant services1 U5 o' e# ~) z% l1 c! h
- experience in website update/design
& H: y% T% O+ F1 B( N- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
