Position title: Community Development Worker

" P; t. _& o4 ?1 C4 P- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of

- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies

- update ASSIST website1 Y8 U9 J0 {2 r# r
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre( Y; E4 { R6 v# Z, B
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
- v' r- x+ M" b; S# P- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time- j I8 M: A8 s
- update membership database/ K, j* Q' p/ |% R% L
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)( d, }9 I; W5 S

Qualifications$ e/ P0 r7 V, m) q- B6 q& M' b
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
' z! C) v6 Y7 d: p+ ?- R4 }" o) x experience and education ! y/ ?5 m" W4 Q
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills; a Z+ z7 K8 h: j, \! P) |( y; F
- experience in community work and immigrant services8 Q2 ~* x, e( A! r0 o |9 Q
- experience in website update/design+ c) {+ Q- N9 T: G+ ]1 e# k& @. i: Q
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset, G* }( z" ~! F. z% ?2 U; h- Y4 q
