Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to / ^1 q1 q! E( L; g4 w/ E
provide services for Chinese community

- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ( @! k. \! F8 u8 ^8 ?* ?, n

- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
- p; ~& a# o% F- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members& j4 Z/ Q0 W! U z1 n
- update ASSIST website( C; e( B0 r* r% R; R- o
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
v; U* D; ]6 N+ I" w/ x2 A- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services; @, m V& k. e
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time3 R6 o! [; j6 d1 U" Q
- update membership database* b+ D$ x+ V g5 k/ N# u
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

experience and education
4 C4 ]( U7 \. N- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
8 ~8 I2 { j* @# t' B9 r6 s! L' t- experience in community work and immigrant services, {, @0 x8 Q1 N3 d0 X- W6 w
- experience in website update/design9 H( G; s0 G( u% @* P
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset& c' ?3 r! q0 v8 o
