- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
6 v! X$ X' P: D8 p2 Z% i2 [, u provide services for Chinese community9 W; {# ?% G2 z+ y
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
) k* [9 F! p7 ^' G access to mainstream services% |; c! m( u e, p
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ( W5 ^7 h- R3 U9 a4 q" e+ ?0 u, u
social services
) m& @& t0 t1 g1 C, d. m8 a& v- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies, e6 q: I& t8 W* {9 F
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
1 a( D5 H4 Z8 ]8 J- update ASSIST website$ Z; T8 D% V ^) G' ~# n: k
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre$ c$ {5 @' b# p8 N. s4 j
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services; q' g) o, } t, a. t
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time( }( Z& \& h( [* {/ K" M/ a; u
- update membership database

Qualifications
; }5 S3 A8 b" D6 ^/ G6 L+ Y% E- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
+ _% _# R7 M! {$ u, _# b4 d0 K experience and education
5 m, L% H$ ]& Z8 Z' \$ S3 G- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
`* g+ ^/ u7 t' \3 i6 N, G- experience in community work and immigrant services5 Q K I7 @7 y2 f( T e' e
- experience in website update/design/ S; o! ]' k' d& x- I1 a* W2 |8 F
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset9 i5 @+ @. O6 X% c5 T, }( i. m
