是谁在联署签名呼吁在西南区建中英文双语学校

前几天看爱城OMNI CHANNEL中文新闻, 有两个人接受电视采访, 说正在西南区征集家长联署签名, 呼吁将正在建设的西南区新学校 (小学和初中)开办成中英文双语学校. 新建的学校就在TERWILLINGER,23 AVE 新建的SOUTHWEST RECREATIONAL CENTRE旁边. 爱城教育局的官员也接受了采访. 说要看有多少需求. 西南区中国移民最多, 有大量需求. 这是一个很好的建议. 我就知道好多西南区家长有此要求. 但不知道找谁办. 有谁知道是谁在张罗这事, 电视上的人好象叫姓程. 谁要是认识, 就请他留下联络方式, 或找老扬帮忙宣传一下.

There are some controvercial issues about this, the bottom line is: Dose bilingual have any impact to current canadian education system. Personally, I do not think 1+1 is better than 1, because of inter-effectiveness. The most obvious is the this bilingual school will become less Canadian as most of the students will be not Canadian rooted people. That school will be dominated by a minority people, how do you think that if the best canadian teachers will like to work here.

You will see at least two impacts: 1 your kids will not be living with local people, and less local indeed. 2. Your kid's teacher will not be the first class educator.

Do you need to think this issue again before you publish?

发起人姓郑非程，乃爱城西南热心人士，才高八斗，另烧得一手好菜。。。西南边住了这么多华人--该有我们的双语学校！
