Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

" S4 I3 O  w4 \+ ~. W" p: r* T- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
) I  j/ y3 r* Z- Supervise volunteer(s)
$ ^: n6 _) l4 d: O/ h( }! D- Prepare final report for funding agency
- n' R! _- S& ?/ F' ^4 {
Qualifications:

/ E; y) F# G, W* r9 Q' L* d- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
3 F7 n$ h6 U# h; M$ H" S- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
0 T) E+ |9 X! X1 R- leadership abilities
' a8 @) o) E4 M. d5 H' u. b- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
