動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

6 J9 e, j7 X  p" g: s5 uThe Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '& @6 K9 l8 ~) J

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,: h$ y8 h/ h* T5 \' F3 x1 ]! y
are you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '  T" j, T. W& `, e; Z# {8 A
小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:, R9 A9 M& z+ M4 C: k' H+ }

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.: O& i5 b& \: h* ^

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.  D' W6 b4 l) R- J/ }

" W. c" B8 v; |% KBut he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can ' t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there. '

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' '3 f2 R& I  d" j, _1 O% ?2 ~

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.4 [; @% T. D+ f) j
『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。  T; a; I; H# z: F5 ^; U

9 \5 t3 ^, E( v$ k$ FThe little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '
' z# `) d; j- R% ?: x7 j- _& B小男孩說:『謝謝上帝給了我足 的錢!』

! M( K  \. h  L' H; H3 \& CThen he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '

1 ^1 l& I1 N& B8 SThen I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young
/ c' b3 |+ _; X/ _. p% B& ywoman and a little girl.
+ ~) W, R: B" t* \+ }$ _5 C我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。

1 h+ z8 [# M3 E* a( KThe little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical
8 p/ C3 Q* @2 ?) zstate. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
  @# _+ R$ \/ C: m6 \- L3 ~/ nlife-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.

5 ~! L* e8 o8 aTwo days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.* p0 b$ L/ u7 H3 ]% u: {$ B/ j# f

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
* K7 l. b9 Z1 s2 N+ K; T% f我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。2 X0 ~$ d- ^& i: V- y9 F6 a2 \* D8 [

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.+ c  Y/ N) T2 ]% p0 A
