動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.6 w% y7 t) T  a9 w5 t; S
我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。

The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.$ w: ~% m( H: H4 k+ C, U2 S& s( U
/ i9 H! J$ v. s; n4 @3 E4 {. L

The Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,
) s5 O: V) s; Oare you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '

# H) E/ i7 G) w6 z# n. w* x

/ v; H. R6 ~7 ]7 i! v7 jThen she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.4 N9 F/ @. W  F/ N, z" f; c

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' '

My heart nearly stopped.

& \3 I# p8 k8 D) W. \+ TThe little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '7 Q. f! w  P3 B4 W9 l1 h! G

3 V% M3 x/ H3 t* J) S- f'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
& Z4 s( Z* i' ^( K『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。2 M2 a/ R, t  O& T* T

, Z* E4 s9 k6 @2 o4 w* IThe little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '

- n: H+ F$ V; X1 x5 u/ {Then he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '

4 c; M& |# N; K6 R'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn ' t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. ' ') U/ @2 S* j1 e; e

I couldn ' t get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young+ A9 K# q3 N6 H7 f# G0 `% G7 E" |1 O
woman and a little girl.
! u' C- c: y7 Q% C& S* y+ F6 I( c( Z我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。& q  q8 t2 ]+ C' R3 n9 i  K3 p8 n) b
0 z3 @' v5 ]$ |) v4 k! u$ I
The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical
1 h/ P- u5 V6 W( Zstate. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
. q2 u& F9 p9 V. mlife-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.; q( S  n) b% A/ [/ ~, k) {
小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away./ _, k+ K; H+ C' z0 ?7 s4 H

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
5 H8 Z7 B% H! P7 [- b4 H, z我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。; o, ^6 K8 I7 ?1 @+ i" [

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is

And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
