動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

# z6 _6 x2 |) `5 V/ ^The Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,
0 u) l* X+ {; d, w3 H! y4 iare you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '* h6 _3 c, C. q$ ^; U
小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:

「奶奶!妳也認為我的錢不 嗎?」

. V3 J2 C  B6 s" U( r8 iThe old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '! Q" w* j3 n8 \
老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」, y' B& q' u4 _1 L8 Q- z  t  {( z' P7 U
" ?# e! w& N; _" P5 S' s! U

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.

) }- Z. g3 }1 g  y6 T9 S& ^2 s; `9 g" MBut he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can ' t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there. '1 x7 Y" F/ Z+ Q( P3 I9 H: Q2 @

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '
5 _  E: A7 ~' B5 ^; u  V9 g小男孩看我說:『我叫爸爸告訴媽媽現在不要走,讓她等我從購物中心回來。』) P8 y% i1 ~  u- q& R
) K; x, J1 U. t
Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '* F+ R1 I" [3 K+ I  b! E

# W# z3 `! L' m7 @Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly., w* z+ g4 }% a1 b: j; T9 N; y' S1 v

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ' Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll! ' '

'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
% U9 W  x9 f* Y『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。
( |0 j$ T6 i" \2 D5 d& D2 M2 s" g' _ - ]1 i; }- c& C- M2 A* }
The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '5 l- l) I9 m# {
小男孩說:『謝謝上帝給了我足 的錢!』% w+ r$ x4 L0 L: O; E

! A' K+ M7 r7 L5 H8 B' |Then he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.

I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started.0 {! U! r7 Z" v+ O3 Y. i

; S+ D" F: \* i* ~7 `6 q. ?I couldn ' t get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young! k( H  v' x8 B% M+ l1 I# v- t1 K2 ]
woman and a little girl.$ q! @  O+ C: a% L1 s( ?5 H
我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。/ J: ~9 m1 t' {: R
; w4 W; e! a! W+ L5 _
The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical$ I  M9 n# _0 o" P5 a% w, \; d" h& x
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
! }3 x+ A. q* U4 ^5 t7 \/ x, Glife-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.
8 B2 I1 I9 m  x0 @2 P6 k小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管0 S9 f+ |; U; w3 A: A2 b; i7 V. `

  d3 e/ G) @1 bTwo days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.& L4 ^! n1 h/ ~& p, p' n4 A/ L0 x" R& S
碰到小男孩的二天之後,我看了報紙年輕少婦過世了。/ m; S) O+ D6 b9 J) L9 |) R

! K* J4 C3 p* d1 U' \1 aI couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
+ w) ?- z6 F/ p& S( x: i8 ^我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。
, d- c1 i' }0 M5 K7 p# y3 C( _& [- `" `- [$ d
She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest., u; u& d$ W2 u/ }7 G8 r

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is1 g& A3 l  {: i5 j' [) Z
still, to this day, hard to imagine.* i" }& N  Q6 _

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
