動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.# d% u3 H- Z7 y8 `0 @& o
我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。9 {6 X1 L+ Z) z- J" Q

The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.$ o5 @; n& J0 N. u. P

9 z0 Q" f/ Z( Y4 uThe Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '+ C, ^- c+ z; z
收銀員說:『抱歉!你買這娃娃的錢不夠。』

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,
7 z! e- d; n7 P4 w# V+ H; K  rare you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '& ?& a2 }( ^& U+ `' ?+ @/ T" J" p
小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:
" Y& ~! S5 @& U7 Y2 Z

- Y/ ~* O0 r+ w3 zThe old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '

, P0 [9 O. A0 V/ L2 c  ?Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.! ?, i1 H/ U+ v: L5 t1 E

She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her. '

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' '  M! A( T5 y* c: H. i

7 N/ g3 _: p( C# Z, Q% `% r我的心臟幾乎要停止了。

The little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '
* v) s+ _( I! I9 _  t! j7 N& O3 z小男孩看我說:『我叫爸爸告訴媽媽現在不要走,讓她等我從購物中心回來。』
  z1 M) t! e. d7 d1 f- S7 _ 0 F0 Q' C" s( u3 r, j4 z
Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

0 J& w2 k! j7 |1 t- t; ]; G7 l7 b3 N'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.& Q5 g( ?$ r7 M1 p+ K
『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '
  b% C5 F, j/ |# w  A7 s) T小男孩說:『謝謝上帝給了我足 的錢!』
) a7 v6 w# t" B+ }! F 6 T6 N2 K5 q' m5 V7 `5 z' F
Then he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '

'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn ' t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. ' '

. a, ?5 W' N: t& q1 d$ yA few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.

I couldn ' t get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young

我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。, p' I( O* ?5 e( S" J

. O7 K: B# W& g( k/ QThe little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical
4 N/ ~; m, @5 q$ _( E9 l. m  t1 bstate. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
. I/ u% E4 g; X  C: Y7 c8 ulife-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.
- U" N2 W/ x+ G6 _! w( x5 W, C/ B% V小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.' I7 }# X0 G. G6 k/ e2 H

) D2 U/ E! L2 p0 k( {; X7 ?7 g. t3 k7 u* \I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
3 X* J, ]. ^0 |% J( y我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。
' d- h, |& e- W1 z. S% b6 X
7 g: T$ s. u; [& @She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

7 _' L; J; I1 S$ S( [2 I+ ]8 H4 ZI left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is! w0 V: e8 K# z8 X- J
still, to this day, hard to imagine.6 R7 p  f/ L. H+ P; A

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
