動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.

7 j) I3 c% n8 s7 m; IThe boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

4 N: p- E* P) H, x& _4 l+ SThe Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '
- A8 [& Q! [, z9 Z) y收銀員說:『抱歉!你買這娃娃的錢不夠。』
* k* u3 n: f/ T. o % ?: s& N, Q" o6 Q) o" n
Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,9 v3 i: |# m* v6 L0 M/ k
are you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '
/ Q5 V- D2 Q' _; r2 Y老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」0 c6 D/ `' a! y/ I4 ^: t0 B

0 s' ]- c; U& p: Z- Z! s# h) X2 Y/ B  `. `  j. w3 t% ~
Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.
. ?( D1 b3 H4 @. V' ^% t, Z$ n- [2 s她要小男孩呆在那裡5分鐘,她一下就回來。 她迅速離開了。

& }, W$ k4 [  c3 n/ U& @7 XThe little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '

+ k- F* B7 O7 X2 @$ h# R' J, EThen he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '+ a) N( L- e1 v5 s

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.# R2 ^, k* r  @' ?7 y% K' S

) j4 D$ O6 e  a- Q! H'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.7 J  \. d* J! D3 C/ g
『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '

Then he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '* _- p$ m: l9 |$ S. I$ \

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.

I couldn ' t get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young
! r" ?. ~9 n( [5 C3 Q0 A/ J7 Zwoman and a little girl.; S4 `9 h, s* ~! Z! w
我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。

* z- Z* m/ T8 {4 m5 [! wThe little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical# g' S# Q' E  k- g- m' e
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the$ t! i" z- P; u  |$ ]: D% v  l
life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.2 ]) y5 @( ?: e4 \- m# d' @  `

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
8 z7 y9 d& i6 ^$ Q( T1 L1 y我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。8 |! O% G$ x: G; {7 J4 n. M

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
