6 h: n- L# i+ Z. D& mSpecifically, this resource will be required to have experience in setting up, administrating, and managing very large industrial configurations (i.e., large number of servers and environments as well as multi-process servers).
# ?0 G- j6 j3 T+ g* U* E7 L) }Administration of production UNIX (AIX), Windows, and Linux server backups in a Dynamic Drive sharing environment.
Candidate must be experienced in designing and administering large numbers of standardized configurations and following ITIL standard administration processes.
/ @) D, v9 o1 UMaintaining and implementing Enterprise Backup solutions in IBM SAN configurations, IBM SAN hardware and IBM Storage Manager Software.
1 j; \0 o7 h' O7 X( e9 j9 J( oMaintain hardware relating to servers and tape libraries in a raised floor datacenter.
0 j- m# l+ F- lWorking with hardware and software vendor support personnel to efficiently resolve any issues with systems being maintained.
! m# \! |" Y* M1 @6 ^3 B% l5 p; TEnsuring all backups meet audit and SLA requirements. Archiving and recall backup reports for auditing purposes.
7 R0 |- g; z, j# V* hHelp implementing enterprise wide system monitoring tools to monitor production Windows and UNIX servers running a variety of crucial business applications.
( q% j, c+ ^) i9 f+ G  s8 _5 H, J"MUST HAVE" SKILLS:
Thorough knowledge of Windows operating system and familiar with various Unix flavors like AIX, Solaris, and Linux
9 Q3 p  J0 R0 z1 |: T: I: I3 XStrong IBM SAN configurations experience
  U/ E9 q( E% ?. [Experience with enterprise tape backup solutions - backing up and restoring Solaris, Linux, AIX and Windows servers with both Oracle and SQL databases.
Experience with troubleshooting in large environments. 24 x 7 on call availability.
' V2 w, o) H* u( W3 q0 UExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
! u: c7 f- l# x) A8 }* hCandidate must be willing to travel to client site and must have ability to work in both United States and Canada.
“NICE TO HAVE" SKILLS:
Experience with automatic tape library maintenance and operation.
Basic networking knowledge - such as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with routing on multiple network interfaces.
Experience with Nagios or other system monitoring tools.
