Responsible for the following key functions:
  c# p* F( t9 z  S$ ?Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
' u/ X6 `0 V3 b: o1 w' CPerforming changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
0 n: J% S+ v4 GTroubleshooting production issues
Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
  \2 i# }4 `- b9 K- }7 ZMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
9 i& e! P7 j. n* v% @Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
  e# d- k& g( KProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
; Y- Q' f/ T+ L8 ^$ R* H+ kDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Qualifications:
' O( A; M% {  R% s8 B5 AGeneral:
8 E: @$ R& b' NDiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
  y+ C% R" r9 t8 p. cExperience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
9 A9 T5 J1 F. F4 u  hDetail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
, W, G/ Z  g$ J, R3 SStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
: K; i& _( e1 i3 k# m) ]: s1 NStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:
% i/ O$ ^4 m9 YRequired:
  v! J- N# w2 TExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
, @& L# X; ?! n6 x) ^* @5 WExperience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
Strong SQL skills
Desirable:
