Responsible for the following key functions:
* W+ M3 v, n1 \# |/ FPerforming product upgrade activities in the Production environment
Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
/ _, r! M0 ?1 c1 ~1 lPerforming changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
) F6 E0 {: T" ], k4 `. b4 Y8 GTroubleshooting production issues
Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
5 f9 k3 L* s1 l. JMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
) W; D- r" M& d) }- g: T# ZProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
" r3 N8 l( B9 _8 w# fDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
: B) Y( D8 _' {5 j* {Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

# l# ]3 J; v$ G- s7 KGeneral:
' f9 P3 t4 X+ Z4 KDiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
; ^1 r' y3 g4 h! y8 \% _( hDetail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
Strong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:

( [+ [: _5 G; N( s+ DExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
& V6 G% U0 u) [0 b' o7 [Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
Strong SQL skills

Experience supporting applications that use:
