4 Q; P& @1 ?2 P2 z0 LBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
# Q1 l  e8 T9 ~1 I4 u! c+ v, Q$ [(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

+ F% B0 n  k9 K+ I! vKey Responsibilities Include
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
$ v( W3 A+ d8 l0 l- K' J•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
9 |; a$ }4 J/ h2 D( X) r$ r•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
  q4 G! @- J7 U•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
3 g% y, U$ @2 U: U% _•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

: J% ^  s6 ^6 z$ nThe successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
, K' u1 T7 R4 n) A•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
. G. `" B  {. P9 {1 F- ^•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources

% x$ s$ `. v0 d$ Q3 j•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
