) P: w( \$ i( dBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

6 M: h7 g; c! E" s2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

Key Responsibilities Include
5 m9 B2 {& t. }4 iActivity Planning and Daily Activity
3 y# H- Z/ i2 `- G/ w•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
0 v: }3 y+ \* O4 A0 M% l7 B6 g•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
6 n# X2 ]( F# R" j; W•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

! Y) q2 q0 |& I+ sThe successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
; W7 L, \0 E% J* T+ B' b•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
) E1 P5 _$ v. L# z* L9 B0 d$ o•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
6 _9 e* ]2 X, p" C7 l1 H•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
