' V$ Q' v' n; G; I! zBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students

Key Responsibilities Include o/ @0 j2 U5 j! i: ~1 r
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
- ~, @8 Y" ^; J5 {! N( e• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
0 ?- b' a* ~0 }% }( u6 p9 v" O8 F• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
: R5 j5 \2 h- O• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
9 P# f6 b# q" {2 L3 X, n3 b• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.. Z& C, U! f. ?
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
# N5 G, T0 s# X5 A/ n* _& x• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.+ L' ]) L- R9 a1 c s

The successful candidate will have:9 X! \5 V2 h9 j/ g# G( b/ O' a
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
. o7 I' ]- G2 v% L2 a• Experience with children' T! @- p4 P* c' n* V7 H% u- e
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth / p7 X0 V: W# w n4 M% U- ~
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.2 o7 k) U% v" [- W) L G. ?" x: t- F, Q
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

8 i) M ?" ]& f( n• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check , I9 R- S/ S- ^# w
• A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check , j; w* c- x& T H1 O
