' s7 H* k! J' k$ f3 [Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff & k8 S S. O* Y" V0 O( M N# u6 v
(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

8 j! x7 F" q) H3 {1 j0 Q/ ~2 [9 zKey Responsibilities Include:
0 d+ M" i3 r+ v4 U! vActivity Planning and Daily Activity
. C! T* @0 J. y- ]# v) {• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
! {& s7 u' G3 T6 b3 N6 K/ v• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
5 N" q5 N% L' T: f: N• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, Y7 f5 `% @! M
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.3 G* G3 M4 M/ z" ]4 l! B6 K2 t8 {
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
5 n Y7 h- i4 p" v" f! @• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

7 Z# `- d# m, C1 YThe successful candidate will have:* n* @- d. s' b
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting! f+ A. H$ T& q; |. O
• Experience with children
+ r' m; f; r" }6 ]& X' U• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth % f; ~5 v4 `$ Z/ o
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.0 z, G' U' N- Q8 k, X' R, E
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.# S; E: A2 z, w" B# L/ D
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
- ]0 i H5 T/ I4 G) }2 P• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
- V( ^ b. o- ]5 l- l# q* h9 u• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check % [7 I$ i# O5 ~
