The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.3 F: v, @- F4 q# M8 P: L# O

Reception

• Answer multi line telephone system0 c9 G# q- n2 V6 a' ]' ?" P
• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
# z4 s4 J. O- _( a• Arrange courier services for all departments
- A9 O( i- M, t8 ?& Z• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers$ g2 k2 n( Q" D1 w+ s

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail+ n6 \1 {) D0 E" N
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries
, `0 B& H; G6 ?+ E" F) e( ~• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency " l1 b( A9 E" }
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration
+ [2 g; G, R; `% D8 C• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers
( k. v4 y* ^2 t• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training

Qualifications:0 Y1 {4 f' X1 R+ ~
: j& N9 Z$ }3 Q• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
4 v: }, _2 c0 @6 r• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.& x8 D6 `! f' m. |% a" q' \9 A7 O. z
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset3 s, c1 `( Z' y4 z/ o/ ]2 d
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
