The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance." • Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors

• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries5 H9 W4 @, f1 I _/ c
• Arrange courier services for all departments5 p3 \# d: N+ s0 J1 M5 |
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers: Q% q' E3 o& n6 T

Administration
5 ~: \" a0 k+ f+ L/ D6 C• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail) D M% R% }2 K8 h. f
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries: e0 Y4 b1 @# U, n
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
- N/ x7 E$ C9 a {• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration% U% y) r& m( V# Z4 G$ H8 A9 ^
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training: G ]; e- N1 s( D1 I

• Assist YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Registration as required

Qualifications:

$ y7 e+ O5 T6 x* p9 r5 i* }6 v• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
, W! E6 I) f' B0 o9 b3 z K C0 X• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.5 _* Y2 z n( v
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset# \/ n) m# p8 x$ l* o( j
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
