* Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory' {7 Q6 q: _9 n: o
* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr
6 L$ [4 _8 G' @" j$ h6 p% N * Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps
) A8 I* U2 z7 K2 }3 I! u * Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations

* Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred
6 Z2 `/ \7 d5 K& X9 S * Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation8 r/ s0 q( t( z% M
* Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers, s) Q. o3 \* v
* WHMIS training
$ P' h. h) F' S3 a$ n- u: E * Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset0 H: f G. ~3 z* o
