Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to: " }. |1 c5 ]& Z. j: q

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
0 H8 O: m4 b2 Y0 X0 f· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
% z/ s- s/ N# I$ R7 P% M5 b( q* z* @· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist / Z7 ~- ?" E3 t: B
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the $ R. H; N( J. a2 |) W$ [- P
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
8 S% r4 t2 a( j7 {2 D# W3 xset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 1 O* V* O+ c/ p" K" [* J* g
· Attend and manage Special Events 5 F I4 W- T8 V" @$ A/ r6 R
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

p0 T+ A U: i! u, f& @Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: & \( U7 ` {( g1 U+ a& T4 d( v
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
0 c, R! d2 Z" f% o4 n· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers ) G0 G3 a8 t, @
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
@' M, L ?1 R! H" Y· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers & M* y2 v5 V4 r# i% ? v: L
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications: 2 W2 l8 i) |5 C7 w0 z w; y
· Completion of 12th
7 }$ _; E" K6 t; b8 h' h2 p Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation # r$ K0 ]9 \* b0 z/ O; ~* O
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. / G- t. O% r# o+ [- w, Z6 ?/ a
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct ( S- E- u5 @3 u+ O
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
+ O+ A& _- g0 R7 M· Experience working with and managing volunteers ; A2 G' q9 K: D) y& x
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors

· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
