Duties: Special Events $ h0 \) t F) S& o7 H3 b. _) d
Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: 4 {# E4 j2 x& \3 c
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee + c; `- ]7 ]+ \4 q& d
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 9 B& |$ e; b2 m' z0 C2 B z( t- t% T1 Y
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
$ J1 r( P6 P+ ^3 g9 x( qadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
, R" S9 u; Z# `' {set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

- y+ C c3 @2 c8 a· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
$ g, y Y6 R7 N! E4 Q4 q4 } r. p4 hAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 5 ?9 t6 M) q9 e: L; R5 q. d
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions , U- ?3 h- {+ I' E
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers & p `4 a0 ^# |5 `; [9 D
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
8 ?/ U, x/ w% {4 ?: q· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
" B% f7 [ r. }; j u# U· Complete program administration, statistics and records

# p% D$ C0 S! l! ~5 Y· Completion of 12th7 F1 d5 _) g) b/ [( ?+ h
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
7 G5 O" m$ c/ z @/ ^7 o% kAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
7 g1 K0 ~0 C: N& t4 f% Y1 p1 s· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct & Q* F2 z3 m+ i) U' `5 w5 y, y& V
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events t/ C$ b* X- Z ^, I
· Experience working with and managing volunteers ' [$ t5 O5 r; {
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors

· Security Clearance
