Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Duties: Special Events
: g+ Q1 x+ J$ P8 L3 {/ ePlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
0 H. y7 Z; l" }0 l# O* x7 t% S3 H$ c· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
; r& X6 V1 r+ z. Y· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist $ q# s, s, w0 l2 J
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the 3 r$ \* u7 a* C6 m) o+ N( s; U
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
( S) T X) b) W, x; iset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. / V* A9 \( V8 ]; G4 {, w0 J
· Attend and manage Special Events

Duties: Volunteer Coordination 7 s/ n' T5 o1 J
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
* K0 c( b1 m' R( c9 s· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
4 V# _" m4 e# N6 ?3 x* ^0 [% [· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
8 K1 y5 E6 o/ i: W3 y· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers 3 \4 L$ j' a7 [' P! O1 S4 I
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers # Z8 C; N4 a* q0 Y2 D' F
· Complete program administration, statistics and records 3 I$ J2 b$ _5 ?& ?! i

Qualifications: ! j# h5 f: K' {+ ?, H$ D7 y
· Completion of 12th
& o U3 C8 b9 s; y Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation ( a" p5 i0 p D1 [
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. o, ^) e* Q. i. l- n$ b
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
, x; R) R% P( c$ x3 W8 q! g/ [experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
; h4 v# ^& ]; B0 b. X· Experience working with and managing volunteers
( R+ C4 O' x; G* B) p. C3 P4 O( M, j· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
$ S _; ]4 ^' A8 I' i· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events ( n4 t, P% E7 I( _0 N8 w* T( \- D8 J
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
