Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to: 8 V8 t! A. ~: q- O

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
6 g0 i4 n* U1 S \6 y· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
$ G5 Y& @4 a$ `· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 1 m1 I- S7 \4 m0 @' Z1 \6 R
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the ; l) K2 k" C; I8 U8 ?
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure , ]! Z r6 |5 X+ J" N0 ?
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions ) a4 j3 x; T' k
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers ! ^$ w, M6 L7 N5 y/ M" U
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
/ [$ y% C& E" e5 w' @· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
; @$ N8 I: {, Y$ \/ i/ s8 z. N· Complete program administration, statistics and records ) H; B7 {/ L( E* Q6 Z, T D

3 q, R! F* M$ ?5 g. s& s( [5 a· Completion of 12th; d: G9 g3 J, b3 I/ M+ k
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
: D( o$ p! Z+ I; a3 LAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
. ?! b) w( i4 }, n/ G· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
& J7 r8 `* z2 T5 v' [* Zexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events 6 `' ^0 o. |( ^# b% m
· Experience working with and managing volunteers 6 |' w# j3 C/ C/ j" p
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors 8 r% ^, W0 y9 g( `% h( u+ a/ K( ^
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
0 k% {0 t c# G0 q3 q· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
