EDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.1 q) [2 X6 d! h- N7 x
1 A3 A1 p$ I W! ^Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.

! l, c! S5 H5 U% l: EPolice say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.( D" L$ Z# t4 L- W4 I% k5 S

Roughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
