, Z+ x( _4 E* A  qCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.+ j. Y% s3 J: ?# U, i8 ^( m

. f0 s6 o# d5 Z8 B+ \• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.$ h% W0 K  P4 u1 _# W  Q1 \+ `( J

9 ~, M; c: Z, X% K, I1 X• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.! T- B3 t" P# a& \% t& M. z

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.. L+ n% S' Y  Y

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.( x( a+ r  B  A3 A1 e+ U2 h& p

+ \, `) X# V$ E  e$ Z$ q• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.+ Z0 ^" J( u! }4 [. S2 J

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

Key program support duties

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.- R; e  k, U, @6 d4 U0 j: O

+ N  i1 ]1 v1 Z2 {) C" G• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.! y7 [# L1 W5 T! h

5 F' i' e5 ^- G• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

* \2 a7 z# O% a) v• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions$ I, {; {, N: }; e

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.1 Z% M, z6 f5 u5 ?3 s" m+ @& s- _4 o

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

1 }- m* t2 k- p1 s" `Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.1 P+ |* E5 K- G! _0 J& n+ N
