CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.# c& }  `9 _6 Q1 |1 ?0 {

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.( u) G. t$ w% L# {) _6 a' T$ v; g/ v

4 X, k# t3 Z' h  Q• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.: Z& ~! H' a$ }& ?8 Q4 }, w' r

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.$ B- M) d* F  X1 S( Z

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.  i0 A  k+ E" q; P, k

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.7 P( D& }9 h8 l! J

9 I0 L& P: \* v  i' |• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.) l% ?7 Q5 d+ I* z! `) L7 J$ ~

* y$ o5 _7 Q9 P- c7 j! Z9 r• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.  q1 \, O3 N6 B$ A: n0 U

3 p, x1 Z& l$ W: o; W; j• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.3 h/ a+ e. }% I8 ^( |6 d' a. {% O

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.1 j1 w2 o4 Q; l3 m6 v6 M

4 Z2 u. b, m3 k• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.. F2 R+ a( p# J/ g$ K

9 P% U2 `5 B: R) g5 t• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.* i9 S( n$ ?# D$ v$ ~6 u5 t
; S  g  {( f9 r7 q( A. s6 t7 p( T
• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.8 I; H9 g5 l% a- [5 J2 W

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
