2 [4 P' E) U# z: |; ~, O8 kCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.7 u9 y: x/ W; `, v/ W: P, L# |

+ @$ k: e: A+ k' E- g9 r• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.1 O0 L  Q1 d8 g4 p/ T9 {7 w

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.; W, {: C+ |- Y% S- t, F

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.& a( k( j& A8 \  V' ?

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management." ^& Q* o# a  ~7 p0 i7 H+ B' Q

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.& N7 l" {' g3 a

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

Key program support duties

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.& T- w+ J* g5 o. ^1 l6 ]! L

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

5 e( w( Y% X& a• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.) n4 w+ L  r& e: R

- f9 i% I+ _* ~9 C9 g, k• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.$ }! T. j$ {7 g" b" @. w& ?

- F6 ^" B8 B& J* o• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

* i8 y7 q' G- ?2 f5 }• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions5 }& W' g- ?1 q' ~

  I/ t$ ~& N; \$ h/ k4 J• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

; B6 S! l& y, C/ @7 o• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.) d, ^' p9 l6 n6 g

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting  q" A8 r8 G9 t! N( V$ F! z4 o

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

This position is Permanent part time (20 hours per week during regular office hours).
