Z9 I8 j3 s Q2 X8 g# jCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.4 N0 n! H Y& r. \- j# y' Q) I

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.. C; Y0 k0 ^8 j! _

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.6 j+ v R& {& f: R+ v- B2 @+ z
) W/ w5 J; }) R( c/ V" |% p$ |• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events. S# L; x$ o7 Q

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.. i) V: J. ^% a6 F, ~ l

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

, t" p: V0 }0 t1 ySkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
