! n9 \' d8 Q4 M% I9 dCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns. ~5 Z& M( G4 E7 D* {$ ]* }( j; q

; E+ ]9 u2 i" m+ o" x• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.# E/ s4 c( J0 x" r

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.8 X0 p; e9 f. E( _! d5 _

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.4 I# G4 g2 M, Z1 {( U" o

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

5 F' i) l! [0 ?6 d$ a9 ?# r• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.% d G3 I/ v7 I' ^- h
4 ?. `3 ?1 i( V5 a5 k' I• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.+ l) w, g& i* s" N- B
