- J! `& c* V9 dCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.9 t, Z; p! U, W+ p9 M

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials., G- B+ g" I8 p# l
1 C6 u4 J0 L+ C2 ]4 G" M) C• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

l& L5 B3 H& @0 ~" T6 q" @• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.; {. {3 u3 r* b

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

2 m* `' d, @# j* W1 g• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions2 p2 i; o2 K* `7 M1 Y5 a5 N* \
* Y& q% R/ d8 m$ f
• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.
! `% m2 s" t6 a& L0 b8 s0 H$ h2 y* m, a3 u, w
• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting" C+ ~1 t! y0 G k |9 R6 E' O( A

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

# c' {2 A$ @( d& @9 @Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
