8 ^: e/ b# }; e+ k5 @: M: a. r2 hCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

Key administrative duties:

• Complete data entry in various programs.

+ k3 o$ b" Z3 f, u+ m+ ^$ R$ }• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.3 T/ p, ?9 T8 Y3 C

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA., t4 p$ X- R( U2 ~1 H: F: c

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events./ Z+ n& A( S6 b M- A

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.! F+ h0 ~& {; o6 s
0 e. R2 o) }, m9 k. S5 V• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

1 a5 A4 C* r/ s0 H+ A0 Z• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.8 d! c0 }. r6 ?4 G" _3 m1 s
3 I3 r1 F& t; I0 _% ~• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.8 `3 i$ Y& L! i7 l0 _$ l

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.$ b. e.
