- X* V1 J/ G+ D7 }9 W. dChange for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.  H" x" S# t: j$ g2 }# B; e

  j& ^- x7 _, |; |& Y6 U• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.; x$ s: V6 J4 \% j

& j: ?. c: U+ h4 F( B• Complete data entry in various programs.

9 X6 m, X. _/ N" Y6 }• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.+ ^" j* x/ c; i6 s

: c* L$ ^& Z9 a; U: ?* Y• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.0 I" b( P7 [  h' j

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.% F( W. G2 A! Y) {

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.. n( L7 A* J1 t

6 h/ O$ p+ v1 @9 O) Y) r• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

/ j! P4 m' N9 M9 y- K# i+ `/ \( d• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.6 J4 i$ S) f( }4 ^4 F8 J

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.  r* A/ Z8 S8 T6 W2 w* ~% L3 |  h

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
