CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.. o, x8 G( ?% }

) F6 W. e( [% ~: I• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.2 L2 z: ~4 Q/ F7 ]

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.& v6 K) @" f- P9 `- }$ T3 N

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

2 Q( |: t7 i7 a6 L; t• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

3 E) Y+ E1 Y v" `4 a' \2 c+ E• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

+ K! }5 ^3 V$ e, `• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

5 v v# Z* B J5 t& r5 Y2 ?; V• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport." `+ j$ V. U5 @+ v7 V) o- T! r

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions4 v( G4 y. l+ v* c0 L+ |8 K9 s
0 N. `! g% h1 B$ ^# x8 h
• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

+ Z" T" I U/ \. p6 h% G• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
