' u4 \0 s2 z( B3 x- T3 xCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.6 z' p* o. C& c4 F

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.: L) f! O+ h" H- S: \

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

) w# V2 K: s; j9 {) _# V• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

( W0 X3 p1 G/ | k) B# R" L• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required. O; X0 g0 i6 Q" l* N, N; l2 d
+ I- l5 E# K3 j0 NSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
