A- n# t0 l8 H3 xCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

Key administrative duties:

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

2 _8 X; _+ U% c8 H% ]• Complete data entry in various programs.& x. T% }3 q0 }: W  o, f  [+ _$ z

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.( X$ C5 F4 ^6 B" i- v7 _

2 w* s8 j7 W' ?6 {) e- Z• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

Key program support duties

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

( `3 j: t1 L, ~, M• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.! V7 x3 p" D+ v" E# M

Fund Development

& o* ]8 t3 n* Q• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

# {- j2 A5 B' d1 h• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting7 ]- T0 e. Z) U8 k+ h3 d8 \3 o

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.: P3 \5 c% }8 `# U3 v, v5 s
