+ V3 S# ~3 O) y% {8 l1 ?& a% W% ZCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.9 y8 o2 V, C+ j2 |' J B

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.+ Z. _" @) i- X" I- ^ @- [

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.7 c8 ~$ q F; b+ q4 i1 p. C

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.4 A% ?( ? y3 [6 s

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.) e7 \ Z3 @6 K6 r

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.! v/ {& T' }( M% X8 ^0 @2 y
% I% A7 N5 X! `) t' k• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions U% Y/ l9 J3 g

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

7 B2 n6 e3 s# `! I9 qSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
