CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.2 {0 d1 ]3 [3 m s

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

2 t% m4 b) [. P3 ]( i9 T- N• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions) _; X5 E; J# |& N. ]. o

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.3 p1 O3 L- N' @7 B
. d! u% w1 W L• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.# |& i* u5 G$ e% i- ~6 r
