CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.6 h9 l) @; h% l# Z% w

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.5 S7 }. a9 d/ ? C9 ?) n

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

& T! I* ?' Y* O• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.& k, p$ `4 T) l! N8 e9 b9 w2 o
+ A, {/ l& h" L0 S' c0 GSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.* q' ^# g1 ]2 ?( f( n; K

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
