CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

# P) m& g3 B: y• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

. p" n' X  M* ~, L5 d! r& [• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

3 P; w5 Z% j" ^5 a1 w4 C• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

% x3 R7 }! @) s& K8 U5 a• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.' ~7 z( u. ]" }* [

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.4 \+ ^, B/ f( k: C* L( J- V- d9 S+ a

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:& `9 Z7 C- u0 D! R

  J. x2 p9 z" I- Z$ H3 Y• Maintain inventory of communication materials.. Y, \( P* ~) m7 a

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.. _* K1 R' ~! |" J0 X8 N1 m

* Z+ o! ~0 I& N; |" @) q( X  u( ~• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.9 P% c  U1 Y+ ?% B

. g. ~! n0 v7 V2 g, s7 w2 w# e3 t  q• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

- @' W, R. j1 W5 I& w; f• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.  b1 S4 Y! \% h

5 g4 K- t; m  N* u9 P+ Y6 h' F% Z• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting+ e$ Y) P8 h- I8 f* Y* E, d0 b

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.5 g. R( Q2 p1 Y; W& @2 I5 }

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.1 V7 n, w: X  y7 s
