CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.( k! J( h" T! K8 X

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.! Z: K% A" j m+ ^3 Q% J; w

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.6 z3 S& F7 D6 |1 y+ V Z- a

0 ?: [4 F' ^% J• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts." J1 W0 {+ o3 z! Q, F# I9 Q6 |9 p9 W

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

( y; h$ }% Z9 ?; `/ lSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
