CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.# O' b: J3 S; h1 t

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.% W! [# y$ K2 C" s, |+ E" i

• Complete data entry in various programs.7 I& z6 K* I+ f, L& t

2 Y7 c+ n3 \, G, R• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.5 t. T  d: E3 m& K) [

  a, r0 B# M* U3 i" v- t. f• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.6 E/ b5 T# W* W( D% `6 |4 O

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.* t& s' T# I+ ]0 D6 K0 B

6 r3 M0 t( q, |, x• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.: U' V: a; A% ]& E

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.2 h0 s9 }: x) S. ^0 Q

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities., u0 g; X0 C! h

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.9 Z+ M6 B. E. \1 T/ _( W/ v

  V0 w% A& P7 e  O3 G• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.! D# e7 M3 H5 c7 @+ d5 j

! z' Y: {* Z/ s& j2 L2 X8 o" ^• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

: O* Y1 x& H) q• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.9 Q7 v6 p' V& M5 ?

6 S8 v7 A- Z, @0 \• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.6 T  }' I4 A9 b; E" N  w

2 o0 N* _: ~1 v• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development( Y- r3 N9 C! r* t' G7 t" V$ U3 T

7 j# o+ u& j* k9 h6 [6 M! R• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

8 d% s& {8 Z0 [• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.8 |- f! q) }% d( _8 B

' u, V- G& x4 Z  E6 X• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.( h* u" t0 X* L

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting+ j/ f4 ?# J2 r% \# t

; s* T2 v7 m4 ?- }% Z5 T2 |. i• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
