, g6 u! c O- i: zCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

, j* _ i, K- E% P2 Q1 O• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.2 `+ ^# c- m; Z/ E* t: I; H

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.4 j$ ~+ f" _ @; z

, o9 S. o- a- P& y$ s• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions2 b# z- W2 k7 t, e
6 x' ~; Q$ q, p$ [• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.: o+ H. g0 l$ ~, |. w/ o

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.( u- O, F5 |% L2 z
- p# t& U# P; B* @1 g• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting; o) e( U' q: @) O/ L% R+ Q" {

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

1 C, Y* H2 B$ j s6 aSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
