CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.* [' n( y7 ?, y( e

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.9 ]/ M- N- z: k; ^1 k

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.+ [5 r) P* ?* B/ ^

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.3 m. ^, _& r0 U2 F; T

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions2 B& }6 F( S+ [ J+ e* B6 r

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

5 T' f7 i" s7 @• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.( s# {8 }9 \6 ~

$ [+ x; F5 i4 r- T9 q1 d* Z9 ~0 _Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
