CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns./ n& r' f3 @4 o0 n; p8 X( E3 C

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.# N# W7 F* W; t; O/ M! j5 M

4 y. S8 k( s8 A- T• Complete data entry in various programs.

* D; q. [+ M- C• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.0 g: G' D4 S( E

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.. w& ]/ J( r) J0 E, W3 o7 R

& t, M+ o) W0 E% I• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.1 V, p. n, v" |, N- W

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.9 w7 r% |9 O% S7 d7 V/ t8 r: N

9 r3 d+ \# f0 u8 P• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.4 w, |9 B* R/ U3 p# c

% T% s( a  _/ O& u• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.
- {. M% q5 t5 k" v5 D8 m! r0 x* o0 O- \; ?# \5 C1 x5 q
• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

  z' e2 k4 {8 X, j) T0 `2 K. ]Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.# o" G! B6 i$ k$ ^

This position is Permanent part time (20 hours per week during regular office hours).
