$ b! b5 O, s" c1 T# hCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.- `/ H% ?$ Y9 D

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.- s3 K" H7 ^2 O, f& J& s
6 d% ^ L% `1 o# |$ q• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.) g5 a& g# u3 C W% e0 ^

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.: j( E5 a0 @. ?* G- l

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.( i6 m5 h8 p4 z" i; O$ k( Y

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.3 r9 ]8 {2 ]- J p3 G9 F1 s
- E7 A' h! V& d$ o+ m• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

/ J/ [+ {" P3 v• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

5 c' B3 y, g) S• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

5 V2 y% j: A5 [- i: P# P8 ~; g• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

3 F+ h: q* U9 U" @2 e• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.& b8 ]9 z7 e. [! D
' E7 f# N0 j* r* f7 v/ p# w6 @• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.% E7 k* i( ^* O4 ^' |, S2 o

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

/ a# ^2 Q8 Y2 k* O5 S, H6 B- m0 I• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.: i9 L9 Q7 o0 h5 c6 w

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
