CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.9 }8 D0 r6 o* ?+ D6 X8 K+ N/ v* q

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.! F/ M5 w" ] \' q& Z0 F

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms., T( |# Q3 x# X7 a6 [! ~2 a2 A0 i
# @8 V+ ?0 U+ H2 _! r& u8 ^• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.5 c% R6 B& W! r

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.6 G; o5 L- T0 ]: g0 [

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.$ `* n& O+ V" a% d

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions1 r" Y, O/ `! c% e2 X

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

5 z1 Y% _; |# }! }" g7 R& {• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events./ E# ?! a* E3 |' W* z

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
