RCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.* I8 ]; s- r; S) A% t% ~

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.$ W1 g7 K7 Z3 q& s/ z$ B7 e
) A; n+ i ^4 E: O& Z- u; N" \• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport. ~, V$ C+ P# v5 c

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions7 ]7 k3 c5 X% ^9 _9 z" ^, x

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.: w5 X9 N. y( o

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.4 ^! F D6 {: E

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
