CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.8 V* p1 Y* A/ S x7 Y5 z

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.% t" N% D$ Q. @

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions6 x2 E4 u2 o, G0 o% i
5 I. `7 C' {1 P! T, w• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.4 _) H+ D8 p {$ ~. c
