9 z w$ \6 m# g! b0 T% p. ]$ OCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.% S6 n1 I3 I5 a2 K6 u C, H# I! j: T

Key administrative duties:

8 _5 H8 Q5 L% I• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.. L M; W; {3 u V
" N9 l& q" p- J2 c5 A• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.% r: G; E4 \2 l9 \6 c6 X

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

5 n d/ c" R% J# P T• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.+ m% q. }3 f' @7 k8 M

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.& t* N% R! W+ q, K* {4 \

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.! H9 j) m) s" p' d

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions4 D6 ~6 @4 K8 T( O: L* a! Z
( p# D- @) T4 F* O( `2 W• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.# d& g. O9 g% p) u4 k3 ^

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.) ^$ R5 @6 n- n, v- i/ l

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting0 l' T% C& [/ C K
2 k$ g' r' M( R• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required./ ~+ f% h: C/ ^# M! F
+ s, p9 Q7 T% JSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
