V3 l9 X, s" G; GChange for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

/ h2 h! q; p/ H4 Q; |CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.5 {# w: R4 v+ k7 @

5 `, p/ b8 ?4 A; X/ d& F9 S! ?• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.( r" Q- K4 \) S' _: y- V1 {' p

' ?) t" e8 H, m. ?4 c8 m& V• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.- C; ~( k3 l& s6 D

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.0 ^9 L2 z$ V6 k( P0 D& X

- J( C7 [& I2 Z# m& b9 S• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

( y( }# p$ ^" J* m3 m• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.& f3 P& U; E+ _6 `; R' W" A  y3 b

, A$ p5 q" e, p" m• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.% i- k1 [" K7 u! F) r1 E8 o

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

3 K2 i9 K  `  A" u/ [8 x4 Q5 A• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

+ Q. G) S0 h  t# V/ p7 d• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

/ A5 V: ?, k+ s4 ]1 ~8 H• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

6 O6 B  s. v( a) r• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions" A9 j8 P" j' W* b

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.6 ]6 ]$ h& _1 X! m1 N% J

2 X+ D. Q% e4 y! [4 j' X5 x6 m• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.9 q+ g& G5 U/ v0 p

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting& v2 d9 P' x# W6 S6 b: q

. q8 y+ ]- d% Q, F: ~8 z7 [• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
