) p, x1 {8 ~4 EChange for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

C' J9 i- j* YCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

Key administrative duties:

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.2 n$ n& [* `, a6 N

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms." | \3 l! l& \6 v/ w

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

0 T8 u( U8 |5 f• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.9 ]) `5 A1 |1 G& E% j/ ?) O/ C9 ^

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.7 X" O# Y# O# G2 d( z+ z

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.$ q* E$ m, K6 \) {) H7 b9 V
