. |" a M' a$ j2 x' v6 bCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.( v1 j( W9 I0 t* }

Key administrative duties:

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

) \+ I5 N5 K" J) T! e6 F* D, J% R• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.8 t2 ^) K; t+ T) e( a- {

) y8 q9 h* |. `+ d) u2 V; m) X• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources. F" M) j, y( w+ w

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.- K2 m1 T8 @* s9 O: M) o { i

Fund Development

$ N% ?" k7 u3 h% Q• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions- @5 E6 `2 p4 ?0 F( c0 q
% b* t7 N+ G' e8 m• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.3 H0 O! z" d$ l% d q) s6 `7 B

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.! s- r- G1 Z+ e! h

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting5 {( B7 s! M2 S! W/ K$ t3 B r

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

6 B0 m* c& W3 f3 u8 K8 _Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.8 ~# S6 |2 j$ t# e! y
