CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

/ w+ ^* o" ^! U, E" T• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

. u+ m7 G3 G! X5 E• Complete data entry in various programs.

( [4 H, A* s: W7 J1 v$ D• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

+ R7 a) e2 m. p. V/ f1 d• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

6 E, L) Z3 x- |• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.# q- l/ c1 }: c2 T0 }% R, L

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.; [% u1 F3 W7 [0 M

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.. J$ M7 v* g3 H2 w  g) p

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.2 `; Q/ i6 F0 X* K

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.) _: [/ p5 Z" k  Q5 o2 Q

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.5 O  h( w( C/ s( H. \

8 m2 S( W% m) s# ]• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

6 ]' z% q) a' h* T* O7 J" m• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.# i0 e9 Y# E0 \# G8 P! j

4 x, B4 C) u6 L6 D/ r• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting8 A  m6 i- X9 }6 v: w

( ^+ U% }1 O# w- O9 Q• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.& [$ m: K3 I  G: \! E7 j
