CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.2 \: W/ d& Y `& V# M1 w8 b% M

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.+ [4 ~! d8 J! a

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.0 c% j1 i5 V- J& P. b, ^

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.% s4 T: i" V6 D+ z- f$ ]

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

" O0 p! O+ T) m5 J! ^) B4 d' s8 _! u• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.& }) @1 B a+ Z" r& [/ u# m+ v. ~2 ]

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.4 E8 B* T5 y% X

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

- J) L1 v) B- u% w b! p$ fSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
