. f2 h2 ]' Z) \' vCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.( f1 U# T$ J! Q. f! P% Z

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.0 ] o5 o; k0 K. m

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.# I" b; z t b- n s& N4 P

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA. z" E. q# S% j

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.3 p7 V$ ]. N& V: s8 f( b

Fund Development

- }3 O- p) I5 Z( C) {: u• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

1 J- f' g! J+ N. D9 N• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.5 h \; C# c/ j$ _: w

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
