+ S) J( Y# A$ pCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.* J8 u, _& A9 ^6 u

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.+ z9 O7 I. M& }5 J

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.) s' k# C" ^/ H: |, E

; I/ C8 ~8 V* o3 ~1 D! v5 y- @# u• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions+ G- i; w* w( P: m
$ ^$ c& I- v" Q. D& w) Y* w• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.+ j" C! L$ t+ ]

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.. {5 s6 n: ~: t$ L" w2 k

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting' A1 i- z3 w) n& ?: v, @! O8 P- ?0 W
: K D/ Q# E9 P$ d: L2 {( @8 U9 r• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

This position is Permanent part time (20 hours per week during regular office hours).
