0 V# g% M# A2 [( L/ t  dChange for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

[% i% e5 T5 M8 t& f& ]/ ~; CCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.' \/ Z0 ?4 y) v* L. @' Z$ @. `6 p% R$ v( z

( ]1 |9 i7 g1 J0 w4 p7 A• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

  i7 X& A) c" t7 |+ _• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.. Y, `) n  S5 G" L2 j+ k. z

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.0 A8 A  Z) `- |& ~3 a/ p

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.6 v0 O. `( F+ m; B2 a

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.3 M6 j' E6 s, |' d9 g' v

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.* ]: W! C+ F5 a' W' d

  s& I/ W+ `+ F: Q/ X; |/ |• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

& R/ l1 ^" H* b• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

" v5 d9 @' l, @6 P# x& p5 o• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.' Z, \* ]; H+ q/ M! X

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

+ `, L# f8 T7 s/ t• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

' P  V: ]9 Z6 s  a  x$ P+ e  ~• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.9 j* b8 b' |) }2 Z+ f  Y. ?3 t8 L* W

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.)
