Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.6 z" D7 b+ F  y* x( e

" L4 `$ e$ t$ O+ G$ O2 r- ]+ GCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.& T0 W! u0 ?, B4 Z6 T7 ^+ P0 f

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.4 u+ K  T5 x% Q7 N) C4 u3 V

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.; ]& T) T% N( Z8 c/ F" o( Y0 o0 _7 k, A. Y

6 }+ O; Q0 X$ I8 g6 T6 h) |• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

* m, N" B0 t: o% [1 XSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.# f7 ~) ~0 Z7 ?4 U
