: E* [# D5 A! m, L8 I# qCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.: S! g3 l8 O' K" b8 r6 v! ]

2 o3 n% o! O+ V) _, o) j• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.* K. ?+ h. J. c1 l

• Complete data entry in various programs.

0 y1 b6 w+ ^0 a: K& Y" L• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.2 j2 l5 H( O- R1 X

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.7 n3 x+ A# u! C7 `) n3 x

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.. T& m6 P0 J; \5 q, {! N/ Z

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.4 p& e" p9 x; G$ _: l

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

# X) B. T! Z: j, M• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.9 E6 d$ `8 ]+ r$ r2 H

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.; a3 a! G9 C6 s: A$ r2 @/ b

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions
0 S- x& x+ L' z, f2 Y
0 O$ v6 _$ _5 x( S+ _. C• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.( u* w2 m8 O5 g" q1 |

6 k* A0 I# _2 D! t* ~2 X: T• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

% o2 R- F3 C; B• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.& o( ]9 x1 Y& G2 O5 O

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
