CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

+ w' ], U8 H2 B( ?• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.. t1 ]* ?+ S) j6 o0 L( Z

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

% }, r3 L( j/ m4 | z3 E• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:! {+ ^% T% g3 I

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.( Y) y; n3 x+ a/ Q

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.& R+ c. n9 V* A% M) x- N2 Y

% b: a1 {1 R% a5 d• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions$ K Y, _; |. F+ p2 K

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.& T/ ]8 ^0 ~6 M4 q

7 I$ I, @3 k; N* P! ySkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.2 E+ P( i& Q" C6 ?1 _% F( _$ }

This position is Permanent part time (20 hours per week during regular office hours).
