A% o: U; p eCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

Key administrative duties:

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

) k9 O8 Z2 O* z( \; Q• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.( U+ x5 A8 s* y% U* E4 {' R

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.2 T0 v* Z% \ M$ m& i! k {% f

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.$ p7 I; ^% ]' O
9 }( G( ~4 D, i! m( D0 `! T+ I• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions; L4 n. }* x- [* ^/ q+ X) T, \! J# T
7 T4 O2 b4 G/ I; ~• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.0 j* N3 ~4 |1 C4 ?. `$ j
4 U- \3 E9 V* R, s• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.7 l. D8 i( o" `) Q
8 @; K, a/ o' q' i9 y! {2 r% D• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting( ]% N" E+ [7 q I& g

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.2 `# Y( A# j% u

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
