CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public./ T9 \* V$ o5 W2 @$ u

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.' Q$ _* B4 [) Z* `

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.2 j* [5 A8 Y( T9 h; i

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.2 i0 ]1 @! N$ T. d; k

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.4 {! j8 ?$ \, h# m- S5 z l8 P

3 y' L9 K& O5 U7 I" s- s• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

( y/ A/ M! a* M; V4 \; \5 J% eSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
