CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.- m% ?( x- s+ N: A# f* X

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

; U# K1 T5 P3 j+ A3 y9 H• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.7 L" c. \% M/ M, s, L; x6 `

% R- c- o! r6 L& \" ^8 a• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions) g3 \" ?6 f m% i

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.4 r7 K1 b6 b4 }- g" H3 V- C

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.+ ?9 w! \4 C4 j6 } U
; A# P4 u. A7 c• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.% }' r+ {1 m4 c0 G; c
