CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

3 w; n7 [9 {: H$ j• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.( \6 K, }/ Z+ U5 H/ S% f% l+ v, B3 }' X

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.0 o$ d7 S" Y c. L) p
! Q1 v9 h' b" [+ D• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

# p( Z6 K+ w2 P. Z• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA./ b" W+ b9 X" J. I$ T" K- ?

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.& c, ?( H+ }# G5 M9 t3 R0 j
9 l* J& o* Z* n/ t! q• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.# F& |: B8 t; d$ I# I# q2 y
4 m. V5 i p' a+ J7 v• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.% U+ s* x8 B0 V% C/ d+ p' o- d

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

- l8 c1 x7 Q% D• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.: h( h c0 `; t
7 l! P; q, J& ^, G* _6 `Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
