2 H8 L) Y( P3 L0 Y+ C9 X( JCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.; [2 a' n2 d) i0 ~/ W" g4 m! p

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.$ J/ A9 k ]5 a0 b% s

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

2 x/ o1 o; c# |9 B8 [4 s: L• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport./ p5 d4 N- n3 m! _& s. g

Fund Development

L$ T5 l) z& L$ h/ A7 P• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

3 K! c( N. E3 X• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.: n8 t; X! r7 o+ H$ g: c

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting1 ?* i( }+ j% s$ J$ ~

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
