7 q( m3 _: V9 W' _CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.+ T% q4 [6 r Y5 k

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.* C* O4 D( C X6 ?( ^

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.3 O* F" l2 `: D4 `# C6 q

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.4 ^; I; l* G* {) ?4 R

' e9 C! Q0 I. ?% f% \• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions: u# W9 P. x9 f- Z( y

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.( x7 L0 S% o' l9 F% u: w. @

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.8 N& u3 G3 w5 Q% ?* K* t

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
