% o# [- v6 J+ j, T, KCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Complete data entry in various programs.

5 G; ~0 W5 a _5 s9 {8 L• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

8 y* o6 P3 h; I; c• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.- \% V- q y( ^8 [

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.' {* u( X. G% z7 F! m$ d" t
4 I. M5 ~+ U( e2 a7 S7 T+ H• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.% A' v6 ^3 S7 ]+ V l

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.4 a: `2 z* `7 C* X; I
4 Y0 \- i3 e& O1 q, g# V2 q• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.: U S7 m$ D7 q

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes. G' v4 { H2 k# h

7 E9 c0 L! P4 K* ~2 D• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.2 ^- _' L1 h* k) {1 f9 H1 M" C

This position is Permanent part time (20 hours per week during regular office hours).
