B/ m# z3 u' TChange for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.# M# p# `" G9 D

• Complete data entry in various programs.6 I. ^, b" T$ O6 G

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.5 R& I" _" K Y( Q) D

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.6 y& }% P. t: N X6 @1 j

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.# B! q# X# q# S- b

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.7 q! A0 K# I8 o3 I. U. o

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.; }" C% n B: r) y, m9 `

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.$ v3 U7 A9 C6 a3 B' _& G
3 z; j( v9 } g# @• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.6 V1 ]( o3 y& E

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.( B# c1 d9 w; [0 p

& i& {( `# ^8 ]) f6 W• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

7 b3 G! n- k+ |4 o6 C$ F6 d: a* B• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development." f3 p% H/ }1 [; j9 \; J. ?
