CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual. k6 J% V, P* l* {' j# O

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.* R! k% e r! [! z6 h

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.+ M' a# S2 O, `0 n4 h

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes./ T; n4 N: c( K0 @8 R& j

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.9 ?7 S' T# l& I0 w- ?/ o. d A

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.- A0 @' e% y G7 C, ^3 ?

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions* @+ R2 r; Q8 i- ? R8 T. g6 u3 E

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.: H) M" [: Q2 r
4 X# j! X7 N$ E& ]' \• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
