E& T; nChange for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. • Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.; A2 u9 M) s4 L/ Q4 K

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms./ Q" n5 E; c: o" H/ ]

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.: Q: S/ W( [. E- u8 P& {$ r8 z

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

Key program support duties

/ ]; F+ x4 y F: i( V• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events./ D/ J2 W2 c4 O8 w9 s) J* H

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.# \% O1 M/ @" N$ x( U0 K% D

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

' T+ Z! V0 S: K! H• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.( b7 b6 L% D* b9 s; c3 s

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

0 U) p2 Y3 U) {1 h! ^9 t) [Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
