CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.3 o! Q8 F. t- \' s. T. V

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public., F: W, \, b2 A( B6 h9 |

( W' h! [; A& T: ^+ D$ Z• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.9 b+ J+ b# l" ^6 Z* i8 p5 W# I

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.' z( z: {2 [: v1 Y

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.8 [% h! k0 a4 B

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.( r$ a3 d0 p* ]

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:6 r6 C& _0 z3 h& _6 u7 o( G  d

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.4 o8 i; r+ v4 f$ O; @) C9 V

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.4 B3 ?3 }. G& q) u

1 f: p. @; Y9 Z  Y• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

7 F; F& m% u5 [) C' n& f' M• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

6 {+ Z/ v& G; F& k5 }, \• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

% p: `  S* E6 W8 D( V• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.8 |7 J# J5 U' k6 S. a  N

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
