CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

Key administrative duties:

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.+ x2 Q/ x% B) s) X

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

' a# ~7 Z! C _0 K3 K6 X; y& O3 ^) Y• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts./ q6 d$ ]; u7 S+ {( P, Y

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.4 r$ h: t2 V6 m9 M% j* ~# b2 _

2 s5 w, I# B4 CSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
