Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

; X$ G6 G* A" U) }CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. • Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.. |. t7 O4 F; c" K% h, K$ u

• Complete data entry in various programs.

, F6 C/ c# k @. W2 O• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.( G& P E" M3 ~# Q: }

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.) p3 l2 G& K0 j

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

% E/ o* @! {; W7 J! h- s• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.( X- i v4 c$ ^0 s

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting& N: a, a% G* B! j; k

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.9 A6 |; d5 }& ~3 d. t

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.+ {0 ~* y- i" d! Spanish language abilities are an asset.
