' o$ o/ c5 U- F% u/ s$ B8 d, h- ZCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

* m# {$ R: [- v! \! G- |+ |9 y• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

* V& @: o) ?- X• Complete data entry in various programs.) Q4 B6 K7 x" s7 k- G
) b* l1 m" ]; g1 u; C4 t+ V1 E3 x
• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

" P- O7 d) G* g• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:) e1 Q! y! W$ |, r  E

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.5 V6 y( S7 w  M2 i3 Z

1 R' y. V. Q. f$ h* W• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.9 V! |+ k+ ^( i

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

; S, L) p% N% b• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.$ `0 \+ a# K% {

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

! v7 \* E( R  f0 r: G! W• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.1 q4 R! O: O6 P' g- P$ `. j: j" g1 F

0 k1 h8 d' k/ Y6 t. ZSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

This position is Permanent part time (20 hours per week during regular office hours).
