J" W6 i& y$ C- c) lCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. • Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.9 o- { K6 {: g. {& @. {5 _

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.+ b) J- Y' W7 K( g

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.4 ^+ g$ k0 C8 m

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling." |9 O+ D9 C1 G" A' b0 w4 N$ v( Z

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.6 b7 c3 }* B# [; R( L7 [

, E" P, u2 Q7 c8 e/ {& P• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

$ V+ s$ x3 p9 _. N" ~• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

" c8 O5 M) g, M( L0 O5 l• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.3 I4 q# z/ P7 v% z

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required. [# ]1 h) A! t9 g' J& K" t3 w

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
