/ s0 m6 r* f4 [7 k9 f! p$ gCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Complete data entry in various programs.& r2 I6 y# K- p

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.) q* Y: J/ K8 r( D* Z$ I9 a

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.3 h( g' ]4 j/ E9 V

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.4 D) ?3 O9 i& Q7 [; F( |8 Z9 k, w H

& H! \: E0 {: W0 \& W• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.2 G" p4 u& e( m! }6 e2 \, T
0 {& S; ~* K: ^! \, T4 \% L• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

4 T ~5 E5 J& H; X; G• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.% H3 C, n$ |$ _% ~! E8 Q

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
