X) WCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.: o* [) x5 r, m1 G

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.. D* f3 ^* T# q6 E

) G; i5 b: Z6 y• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

. m- w8 k8 A% b+ h• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.; Z8 T5 h7 j1 y% g* j

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.9 T; M( q9 v# k- ~

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.9 U* D9 Z( y/ M! @- d f.
