[$ K' U, i" S8 A5 UCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

8 h' p( M0 X: S1 B• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.# w; f+ i3 [: W8 J8 b; p

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

Key program support duties

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.8 C' k0 c' q6 Z- t- M; n* L

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

# S- I* X# f6 s• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

- K: h- o i1 k8 j• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.7 z. i x) [% g; s" |5 i/ h* d

Fund Development

. n+ k* j( J6 m; b' J• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

* |# K" [; C: j' I K G• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.# ]2 h: z" T) }/ T" x

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting; E: ~7 s) C8 e. S
! X- `6 r/ x* E, ^8 @2 q* t1 E• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.1 J" d$ F. ?1 y

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
