CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns. K4 J/ W! u3 `

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.2 a4 y& K4 m% n8 q6 O* w @

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.. R1 E/ W: g: y: d

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.0 M1 i% @& F& U3 ]

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

% T: R8 G0 T7 N& f# t. ^0 R• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions( Z+ t+ |' O4 J: [
+ W/ X# n. t! l3 Z( W0 h
• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.- T0 G0 d4 l! H2 D! P9 E
5 t7 P) I" }: k: F3 e% E/ o! T4 @• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.9 {" T) o: D- L; ~2 S4 w6 R8 w

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.8 E: l( c6 Q% O- r$ k: o3 U* w4 N

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.. w!
