CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.3 f* t0 G R1 {+ n% q: I6 l( G6 A9 T6 y
; Q- T& J7 n5 m; V. K6 X0 \• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions$ y6 C6 K, }) x

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.9 @2 a1 ^ v3 Z

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

9 A. K" Q& S0 n( d3 j" iSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.# s' z2 K1 W! w
