N: w# A: ]1 l& ~: T0 QCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.( F7 X! \9 n* ]

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.) [2 ~6 D( M) R8 W

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.2 R% V( P3 i5 }, Q3 a

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.# }; O7 I. N' s6 I2 B. b+ [# b

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.' U( F5 x, c3 R% Q7 s7 d+ h

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

- ]- [) |: m+ X& \• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

' m! v, i4 y/ h• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions" H$ B3 y" Z$ U" A5 C
3 ?7 Y) s9 {& \' }• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

_6 k- y9 C/ A6 S( M• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development..
