CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.# N( K6 W. n& n- j5 r1 h

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.1 H7 l& C; x: C( v. Y

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

) C( w/ ?$ ~& ~2 X6 ^8 W5 G• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.* O! a" G2 V) \1 n# g, ~0 _8 C

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

Y( Q W# }0 V/ ~" D• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

, Y& O) O- u' ?: x! o; v5 t• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

9 z2 d" M2 X, W3 mSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.4 n5 W3 h! c- y0 R; @9 i
