% b+ p+ [/ Z( N) L% ?Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

8 n1 N4 b) q) U8 Y, U" U' T$ TCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.* ?+ q5 A6 ?9 B: j6 l4 K  e- k

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes./ T# a" s' y( k, B5 ^

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.6 \4 t$ ?; |. }+ `1 I

2 m$ S! }/ `8 Q- n! f• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

1 e1 \5 i) |; Q4 u, B• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs., n+ t. S) l; s7 j

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.) f2 t6 q  d% q4 h6 w8 a0 Q1 B1 f$ e

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions
" k5 T4 G5 T2 [- F1 T2 B/ }1 G$ l7 o6 T( e: u4 T
• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

+ k5 L9 p* _/ k4 X• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.5 ~$ L. C; w1 m, f  ?

  |* L' D" `+ q* q; TSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
