8 e7 C* M$ }. nCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.7 {% `' ^* T7 v& I5 }$ `

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups., Q7 A% O' J6 H4 f* Z

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

2 e q- o6 t! d• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

G) n8 T( G. l% _7 ?• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.4 @9 O, n" M8 c+ }* L9 G

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

0 }' ^2 J# S; r$ h& H• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.5 m( {6 y2 }, y l

Fund Development

' \1 j" U1 ]2 h+ Q( s7 x: x• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions# i% ]4 i9 y; j Q# d; u7 I
- w6 n+ U' p. I2 z T• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

3 w3 y# e, p# D+ O, \& T3 ]• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting5 D$ b7 X5 J4 j: o2 i

, ~% K+ A, h, n# i% c. vSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
