Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.. a0 i; O* H) a) s2 E

% q  f$ N$ \& ACHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.6 d0 y' [6 K6 b& F1 E! R! Q

) z( M* |) ?- n( f  k• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

& [$ J: a& t  W& N( r/ V• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.. e, f, j6 v' ?( a  E

; x# H1 }3 z. S6 v! y. ^• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling./ ~2 ]" i# k9 u- r

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.+ v9 [+ c" G3 R5 |2 c  ]9 s

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.* A  ~9 Z7 X5 B1 o( j

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

5 m) U& M+ i* [& {) m2 B7 @• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

8 T& H1 R# t9 C  k" n- j+ Z5 k• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.
& j1 O9 H" i+ E7 m* b. N1 Q# p0 q+ |, Y( t( m- |$ f
• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting' W7 I5 Y! i# E* ^

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development./ ?6 s1 Q5 P# ?( I& t
