CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.- t9 d# {% s4 Y) b6 M' }2 N5 ~% L

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.3 k) u5 L `7 Z5 b, p C

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.( N1 m9 t h1 p4 N z l* Y

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

( W* Q' ]5 E- t" e0 {" [5 H• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

9 s6 L% Q& `) Q2 S: K7 O" c• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.. D* C$ X& s/ f9 z8 v6 E. z

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
