U7 a; `+ |7 N9 V" T3 NCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.3 B& X; U# ~  r* U3 L3 X! _1 w. t$ M

5 }0 R; i" v/ A1 g5 k, t* l• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.+ r8 C0 C/ H# k9 D; F( n1 n8 S& d

• Complete data entry in various programs.

( ^6 V# h8 n- k. |: H3 }: Z• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

! C- H5 j# H' |5 s. g/ K- ?* ]6 t• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.# }) ]" h- Z  u! H

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.9 C8 D) x3 m' r

3 a$ f' Y7 P) S) Z+ k• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities./ u% Y3 G$ A. u9 B

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.% _8 G3 n- C, P8 s/ b& f

Key program support duties

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

4 u) N$ L: f7 e• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.- u, L7 y( n  C; X2 I

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

8 I; q1 Y& W$ P- ]) D• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.( |9 `+ y  v$ D- D& Q

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

) S7 q$ |& D) F, \• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.1 i6 Z0 [1 l4 P; n1 i3 ^

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions5 o# w( ?1 l: @5 z

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

  o# Y8 r) a  \' U• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.8 b. D/ M% \- r1 |

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.)
