0 e3 A! d* T% |CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.! q# P, |- u4 [; v2 C: q

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.- k# q1 \1 I( `3 w3 u  x

4 q; e4 n+ U2 j7 r• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.$ |* S. w. n8 y% Q

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.3 @9 |  _0 X( W5 U

; k6 a: f& R( c• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.  H+ b! m$ b; f% l* j

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.$ M6 M% \, \% X8 Q! j/ p1 h  s. l2 w

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.6 I# v4 P3 y8 o

% z! m3 z: d- Z% C* m' {• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.. C2 [1 d' w3 q; _  y# Y; e

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions# j9 p6 I2 o' P
' U9 ~1 G1 n' S+ [
• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.% Q) |/ A0 y* T( @. l3 L

. [" R& Z2 S9 |• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.; v) |8 q" E/ {. E7 @9 Z$ q, t* o

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
