CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.! V2 _5 i" P" |+ P9 Z) s# i4 N

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.0 }6 S* \: w2 o+ R' N
# l8 u4 h( Z( A• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

6 v5 B4 K+ ^, [• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.8 h! g+ n5 V- J8 m/ ~

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions# }; }. O# C8 E4 o0 T8 z- Z& ~8 v/ _" d6 z
9 W7 ?7 d" g& ~5 K3 ?! r+ q9 ^• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

, Q$ U+ t+ u7 y# N$ H• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting) B! ~0 l2 @+ f- k- l
, k; i% M1 ~0 N* V• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.9 U w3 B6 Z) f& d0 \2 m4 A2 I
