+ m6 q5 F) M& ?Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

' T7 e- ?: _9 D7 I/ pCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.8 C; H1 l( P6 c  o* ~' C

Key administrative duties:

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.- K, |5 T# S  h! l

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

9 m% i! e' Q! d$ f• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.# }8 q8 I- d* s  G4 t& P

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.' c% Q. r9 b. ?6 e

- H& c. M: g& v3 o& a1 j5 z• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions3 x, d9 T% L0 b
3 K# n/ h+ \4 Z/ ~% l& V
• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.9 a& a" J( |$ Z( y9 B
5 f' P2 j( R0 Q4 q/ X4 _
• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.2 ?. [# s  E3 I2 v

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
