5 U5 |9 r( {0 z3 i: [CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.+ K& q" d% i# k
6 w: c/ W0 w5 {# t$ V) C• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.0 X' I: E+ O4 G

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.3 H* y! x, w/ h5 i# b1 s' S

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development; k' C' x( b8 M0 X
8 N0 S6 p' k9 R) s" X! @• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions: d8 I) i/ k2 o. B

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.8 h1 Y8 R$ h+ d" n

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events., I! f# N+ O/ a. i: @1 c

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.0 f6 H/ h& ^& p+ ]
