CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

3 b) k* K- T4 q• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.* w: K7 X7 ^: Y- }, P8 t) B1 i

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.& [, O3 j/ n% O; m6 d) o( R
/ n% o& N1 E. q1 K5 @• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions
- P8 v, v% n* K0 |5 x0 v5 d6 g8 r) t7 | Z% L6 Q X& Y- R& r
• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.) Q( t5 \4 B- |# X8 Y( W' j$ U

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development."
