Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.; z. S+ @% o* l5 H6 ? l0 [CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.0 f: V4 X- N, k. u

1 O* L. X# ?5 D• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.; I, z1 Z; }1 ]' M% H" j

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.% E9 D9 i. s8 c# j" ?4 N
; w" R9 X6 d% q5 ?& i* x& @• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.+ a* \& c* ] c/ L- [

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

5 \4 l+ D8 w9 h0 c/ n4 r T* S• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
