Police Service Preparation Program

  ^8 N8 v+ @9 B& hThis program is for immigrants and members of visible minorities who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.

Start date: November 2, 2009 End date: March 31, 2010.
% M# m3 Y4 Q; Q/ D$ F9 B5 KPrograms run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm

Entrance Criteria
You must be/have:
• Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
5 S8 @4 o) @9 k0 }6 d8 M4 O, c• Unemployed or underemployed
0 G, A: k! b: _' K( Z  k$ K• Minimum 18 years of age
1 a2 ^* m! q/ k& E  J  Y* y0 J• Good moral character
• Good health and physical condition
" |8 S- N/ J$ S• Good written and verbal communication skills – must be at a CLB 6+
) L! g- }  e; {! G8 o/ u, v• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
  d+ L0 C( `& T# Z• No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
8 B  g! P  V) N/ m# E• Eligible for financial assistance, or willing to pay tuition
