THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

+ q! \  Z' J% Z6 ]! iThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
" h  ^" r1 J3 ^Eligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
9 X) y, W0 q0 _' \. t& b•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
" F9 z% Z2 C8 W•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
0 p7 @7 {% ~, x' Y* d•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
! z& Y& S  q: S$ k: H•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
; s  v/ T# Q' G: U•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
: P' ~$ w' U# N1 F•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
- K. c: @9 Y% jThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
