& F7 C' ^+ T0 _3 i, HTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
; ~( c* q9 H% U$ V; Y0 B4 p- aThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
; l# ?# t/ D5 J5 M+ J•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
4 w: K$ \7 ?& ?! K) V•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
/ w9 C9 E. d6 m) P3 Q•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
! |6 D- c! J$ C8 h& ^•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

9 a# L6 j' U( [1 w7 D& m- V•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
