THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

: R% |3 n  F  P' M7 |This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
. |1 _( w: R, V% rEligibility Criteria
6 e2 [6 A) j! F' U2 uAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
$ i/ e/ d  O- N; m# L3 L•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
6 A2 `' ?( K  H8 E, a. V, I•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
; H4 a- W4 c+ O( |: P0 n' \8 N•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
