4 g0 Y# k! p0 y4 yTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
9 ^/ s+ C, E0 p7 ^# D. g3 dEligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
1 M7 q( T* }7 k( [•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
5 c( `6 N9 p* Q& i•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
; |) ^/ v6 y  j/ z0 @•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

8 L! P+ k' f' }9 w/ b8 rThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
