THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

! K- E% W/ E, R7 D$ V3 bThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
8 Z' f& b' q. X: X" K+ Q& O9 c- nEligibility Criteria
) i4 R8 a3 D+ S4 m6 {, Q0 Y7 cAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
/ L" v9 ^( L2 ]4 W6 d$ u) a•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less" K {# d& `/ m: c8 b6 R
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
3 G' L- Q2 e8 B+ s- [2 P•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
. x3 {2 Z, a) D; ?2 |# X5 u•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
J6 Y% ?, I$ t7 M+ [0 x•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
* ~( q% A4 B3 N0 }$ F. G•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less; N/ P6 u2 B+ G: k0 m
•Be eligible to work in Canada/ [" k* I) I. J9 Z/ c" N
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop. N$ }- Z3 Y5 ?& d/ e9 k2 _
•Lack access to professional networks
( h/ P. | t; g5 ~% i% x•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

# o4 B/ F6 ?- S/ YThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months. This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.5 S, m, j) D! m$ v# w* ?' G
