9 p3 e% o# Y5 a( JTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
& ]/ n" ~' p" W  LThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
) j. I1 B; Q. P4 s2 i# h) WEligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
8 B- v5 r: _( m4 o# c8 w•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
3 g" M8 i7 ^3 W3 y- X•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less

! h' B8 }' V& Z- x+ c•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
