Position Overview  
" ?9 R& L1 ^2 T The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
- |+ s0 P' a6 \) E$ y% O -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
- n  u( E9 B  ?( e$ l- w4 _' u-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
& X* R  }, x2 c# @-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
, r2 a9 V3 C4 i/ `7 o-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
$ H6 Z" x; r9 c8 i+ K8 ]! ?% {" x3 L' H-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
9 \- k$ ~5 r( E- T; V-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
: ?8 e" P+ U2 i  @. A-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
0 P- j: c  R8 |( G3 x-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
0 n4 Y  z) L$ U6 r1 B' ]-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
