Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
* S1 ~* U7 o5 @9 vCompensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

4 ^6 l; m1 y+ n8 c# C- nResponsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
3 _4 D- d4 ~8 |! f-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
- R: U. n9 T+ v' }- r3 {-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
. x# w2 [! w" O) z-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health


6 g% I- \' }# ]* e, R1 e( TKey Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
* M6 k2 v& g" w-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
1 r; e$ F' p! M7 s6 ]( R-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
2 [4 Y7 Q' j. F, e-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

' K  t( P6 t8 C+ hAssets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
+ G: s) n- v, l-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
" A* Z, Q0 ?# Z/ J! d-        Skills in marketing & promotions

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
