Responsibilities:
4 q7 W$ z& d# M$ T- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth0 ^' c G+ j' K6 }2 q( E
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling2 ~& ]% j, ^4 Z2 o, x" ^8 k
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups6 Z9 J% }/ |3 n8 @' U/ [1 _
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs3 ^0 M! F7 s3 B+ g2 g% c' ~
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:9 m( w# M8 z7 d
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
8 o# @0 {' T. U* e- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
+ N7 {( U- j0 ^- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
: ?3 j# D: W# z! g- Experience doing program development
u3 o% x) C1 C0 h9 U- m) w- Strong organizational and coordination skills
# o! h% u, v" U/ V* X- P% g ~7 X- Self-directed and able to take initiative7 Y+ ]+ e+ o7 M9 Y" ? M# i
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
