Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).

Responsibilities:
# s7 q* T5 X! s( ~7 g( L0 D( @$ t, U. B-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
' p9 u; Q$ |) y6 y& @4 R2 ^, W-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
: ^& P! n8 A6 c) }  v: _-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
; d4 D7 R6 P, o3 g/ M  P1 E-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
9 v/ X8 {6 ]# I1 ]+ _" K& ?-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
0 |# z; c# x6 P9 p) X# ^-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
3 U& s9 j1 `: v5 a/ T7 H-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
& v3 a/ G! H) A5 B3 [8 t# l$ a-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
+ g2 d% E. t" x( Z' Z-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
! w2 \3 b; a  W. U  m4 U-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
