; i- X* w; n( b+ \3 HTerms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

Responsibilities:
- t, \) \( N$ u" Z( u-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
& F# n3 A' ~# N-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
: r3 d. n7 X; I( {7 j! Z-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health
) u6 a$ U3 a2 K% S

( Q# K5 N4 D! y$ b; v8 q/ H  v, SKey Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
0 f* E; W' e% c0 t; w-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
) I' a+ d: F5 J: X; w+ U-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
$ H( s. }; J* \$ g  M-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
* x' l4 g- D8 N0 E-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
: N( ^, c" V1 N; o) ?' n-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license


Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
4 x+ \* c% a  C$ E7 a: r-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
# _+ I  F5 M8 G6 W) A" J, G" D-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
. S0 w& Y% k' W-        Skills in marketing & promotions
2 g$ S5 w7 N% F0 Y! J) f) g-        Some evening and weekend work may be required


Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
