Responsibilities:
- t, \) \( N$ u" Z( u- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth1 U6 d' H. z+ J; w1 C& `$ M1 x
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling0 Z9 c: J' V2 s
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
& F# n3 A' ~# N- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
: r3 d. n7 X; I( {7 j! Z- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health
) u6 a$ U3 a2 K% S [, t" z$ D' V
( Q# K5 N4 D! y$ b; v8 q/ H v, SKey Qualifications:% J4 V: O0 K; l1 s
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
0 f* E; W' e% c0 t; w- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
) I' a+ d: F5 J: X; w+ U- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others* D, x9 W9 [& K6 K
- Experience doing program development; T1 ?5 Y; @. R& h
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
$ H( s. }; J* \$ g M- Self-directed and able to take initiative
* x' l4 g- D8 N0 E- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
: N( ^, c" V1 N; o) ?' n- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license4 N+ K! X) L! R6 C& j$ n3 M, y: o# q

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
