Responsibilities:
# s7 q* T5 X! s( ~7 g( L0 D( @$ t, U. B- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth+ S9 d: f- M' k, h3 h
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
' p9 u; Q$ |) y6 y& @4 R2 ^, W- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups8 B, a( Q& [! j1 W, D
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs) \- Q2 K4 \8 p% p. Y- i
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:2 A0 }% t7 f, n
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences1 ~4 k ~. G8 O1 z. r; b
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
: ^& P! n8 A6 c) } v: _- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
; d4 D7 R6 P, o3 g/ M P1 E- Experience doing program development3 j! R( N9 @7 s; W, l' X
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
9 v/ X8 {6 ]# I1 ]+ _" K& ?- Self-directed and able to take initiative
0 |# z; c# x6 P9 p) X# ^- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
3 U& s9 j1 `: v5 a/ T7 H- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
