- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
3 _4 D- d4 ~8 |! f- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling0 r, a0 r0 q1 f: `+ L6 F
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
- R: U. n9 T+ v' }- r3 {- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
. x# w2 [! w" O) z- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health% W$ K( Z8 K, ]4 ^) n3 C' W3 `( @

6 g% I- \' }# ]* e, R1 e( TKey Qualifications:- M) m3 N" T3 ^; a+ p
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
* M6 k2 v& g" w- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement' Y& P7 ~2 N' i/ Q4 H
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others3 g! w) q% Z2 i. S$ K; U) v
- Experience doing program development
1 r; e$ F' p! M7 s6 ]( R- Strong organizational and coordination skills: _7 f' _3 o6 G; D4 y& g2 x3 Y
- Self-directed and able to take initiative, I6 X9 S5 ]# n0 }9 w6 X" [
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation5 |7 e1 l+ `4 I- r
- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
