Responsibilities:, i J, @! z7 C8 ^3 o5 F4 v
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
- }1 X3 M- S ] B" I: l- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
$ ?2 s8 { N7 u6 \6 h3 X- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups: ~ f; q% D5 R# N
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
( P1 d! h' s- Z$ m1 V2 c6 t- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
, y6 z- l# U$ t0 p ~ W6 y( {- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
9 B" l; t6 _4 y- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement* i9 [( k! I8 Q2 n
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
: q: s5 N8 H N* y- Experience doing program development3 e9 u/ Y- c8 v) l
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
$ h; n1 S' a8 I, x1 q; E- Self-directed and able to take initiative5 ], J( a& G7 l r' U& n
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset7 @: \* z7 P' `$ c
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license. Z2 F5 B9 F& s: O7 [6 k
) A/ A. F6 ?& k/ I T

- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
