$ U+ l) g9 S  w2 P, [; SAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
Works co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
) U: @% ?: p1 M. x( F4 P' T1 v' ~Maintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
0 e4 u; Z, ]) p, K/ _5 ?/ wMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
+ r  p7 H% d4 O5 t7 O5 T5 TIs knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
) R$ [$ `# _  RParticipates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
" m8 Y# o! b. M% }. j2 Z( ZQualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
( C- K7 R4 q0 }Computer skills an asset.
An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
