If you are picking up a car in the united states, you have to go to the local DMV to buy a "tag" (cost you about 25 dollars and it is good for 10days) 7 J3 I$ |$ \& G* V+ v

Both of these "transfer ticket" or "tag" need insurance policy backup of course.
