Any input on Cutler-Hammer Starter?

After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the  start and stop buttons on DCS screen  , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.
It is a cycle.

$ P$ k, e8 |' aWe isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.

; P# Y+ X: o4 q& JWhen the problem happened, we observed that  the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
$ E2 m/ k( r. f+ f; c4 L1 |Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
5 Q  M! I: Y5 Y0 o3 ]Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we  bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

1 Q! _* `9 j" `+ V/ IThe next thing we can think of  is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
' E2 Z% t( f* Z3 [They  have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered  the connection and tried again.

Don't know cutler –hammer advantage  starters very well, but had been worked on AB switch gears for a little while, which has two different coils, one to pull the vacum bottles up which employs larger current, another one uses less current to hold the connection---if the second coil fails, it won't be able to seal the connection.
Since your cutler -hammer works couple times,  I guess 侠客行 is right, or the sealing connection is just worn out.
