                   Summer Job Opportunity for
2 i* w' u4 i0 f& J  N7 p      Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2010

Responsibilities:
+ }* c6 R1 z2 h- i* R-        Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program (ages 6 to 15)
-        Recruit children for summer programs
-        Recruit and train volunteers for summer programs
-        Budgeting and record keeping
-        Provide orientation for parents
9 s: z4 c; [) t2 i-        Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

4 ?9 B9 U! G5 ^7 _! nQualifications:
) V: k2 s3 ^/ j" k1 G/ Z+ p-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
. p& h/ Q6 j. g& q-        Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
2 K1 {- V" b5 |-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
) c+ c$ {  Y9 p, I-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
) a+ ~8 a) y0 R-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Returning student to post-secondary institution in Fall 2010
- J- ?6 u; d* t% t+ X! J6 M-        Have current first aid certificate
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
4 _) w7 q0 l' e7 q5 e-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

Salary
