The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.9 K# \: r8 F% o, F' Z1 j$ Y1 h

§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution 3 u( K- z5 {3 f+ E2 i- _9 {; b
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation- v: q8 |: G; S9 z
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times U4 Z4 s- X- h3 e. ^
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk/ D7 u; x% j* y3 W& b
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert( s- N- I' {: \
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

Position Summary:

N F' f5 y5 n2 s: dThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). " `. U" @. J. n! L; r- X

§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to8 q9 _3 F3 W4 M( A# u% v8 j
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times5 f$ H5 `' P$ |( d
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
