+ b( E& x4 C, ^: _6 \! kThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers6 D0 N! L( W" k2 i: X) E$ ]" I
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
# G5 H/ b h! d§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
) F4 B! v2 g; Z* i: Q7 ~$ l0 k§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
9 H7 I* B _8 ~§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
F; v" y" I) L+ ~1 s/ `§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
7 Z" w9 i# f, I8 K§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

Qualifications:
+ S; F; @5 c$ ?4 P f. f1 \& J8 S§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience) W' f- O! V# l( ^: ]
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
* i7 j- b, m5 D4 z§ Fundamental commitment to customer service/ M0 c: i- Y6 ]! v* S
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues$ I3 r! R( b# e/ E5 z
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware

§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems* E- d! r6 G7 q- X6 i

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). 6 C" ]2 i6 w1 I

§ Manage and coach staff in IT group

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
* S" C5 G, ]: G* e5 r- ?§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports

§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to/ A" Z: Q: S9 g8 I: t6 d
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times2 n& v4 A. h) R& X. G
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan

§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
