The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
z; N8 f9 \2 i/ A8 q- B( D0 G0 P§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution ' C0 e$ m$ M4 I* u/ ?; l/ z, j1 h$ O
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation) K) `* N* |# d" ?+ D4 H. \# t. ?7 G
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
9 ~% V m* N1 c! W! t& A' W& P y§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk4 E5 i s4 b' _9 K% W0 N
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert5 J+ p |9 f I9 m g& _# b8 G, L2 f
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties* q2 |- G& d! a
§ Special projects as required" T- E. d! M6 T2 \2 B9 f z+ Z& z

Qualifications:
8 _/ ^; K. q* I" ]§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience& P6 h( Y- a% T' S1 f
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
% I7 N1 [, |; g9 Y§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
6 D; P! W/ c$ W& |1 r§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues& D& M3 X5 w( j2 T8 m/ C
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware. S7 l$ f+ t$ E4 g M; l* w7 w
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
8 b1 A8 h* U4 W3 N( R0 U/ z: X' \§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems& Y4 F5 C* \" L7 O; b2 c3 j

) k8 ~. o' q! |1 N. |The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Manage and coach staff in IT group

§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports/ W/ W: N+ x* w# Y& t8 H: r
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
1 b: i4 |% o U: d5 j4 k/ u7 J§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to0 z$ V8 p/ @9 J' H
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times# [. _2 {% U; W" Q2 w
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access1 e- J8 v1 d4 B7 v7 B! K" j0 \
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures

§ Coordinate and support end user training
