one possible reason is :

your SD is HC SD >=4G
your notebook is old one which support only SD not HC SD

update your driver from official website for your notebook, it will works.

可能原因如下：从control panel那里查看硬盘管理器，最可能的原因是系统默认SD为一个驱动名，被你现在有的另外一个硬盘占用了，从硬盘管理器里能看到没有被识别的SD, 坚决方法是给几个硬盘从新设置一个名称就好。马上就可以用了。。
另外楼上，我不认为SD需要任何驱动，就好像机器上的usb 接口一样。

补充下，具体路径是，control panel ---> administrative tools--->computer managerment--->storage---->disk management, then you can find all available hard drives which are connected to your computer.

find the one who took your SD drive name, rename it as another name. Then ur sd disk will work for sure.

不需要安装驱动并不代表不需要驱动，而是你的机子已经预装了。

我说的的情况并非无根据的猜想，而是发生在我的机子上。用SD卡工作正常，SD HC插入后无任何反应，UPDATE 驱动后SD HC工作正常。

请问哪种硬件不需要驱动？估计你说的是不需要特别安装驱动吧，微软很多标准硬件驱动在系统里里都已经集成啦，好像不需要大家操心，但并不是说这个硬件不需要驱动。再说USB设备不需要驱动？大概你没做过USB驱动吧。早期做硬件设计的估计在USB驱动上面都费了不少精力吧。

There is no point to discuss it needs driver or not. I just want to point out the right way to fix the problem.
Yes, u r right, all hardware needs drivers, but for SD driver reinstall, at least i didn't see a case so far. :)

U guys look very professional on pc hardware, I am software guy, just here to help others, lol.
