A scary moment for employees at the Maxxam Analytics Tuesday afternoon.

Around 2:25 p.m., Edmonton Fire Rescue received two 911 calls to 50th Street and 67th Avenue. One was reporting a fire, the other reporting that someone had been injured at the same location.

"The fire took place in a room at this facility that did have some sort of flammable products stored in there," says Wilson, "and somehow, this ignited and caused a fire."

$ j3 m4 l7 ~7 `; h/ I& z7 e' g: CWilson says fire rescue responded with trucks from three houses because of the flammable chemicals housed in the building.

+ R1 `+ ?: H5 C$ h4 R  t"We had eight units on scene, with about 30 firefighters," he says. "The fire was out in just under 45 minutes, and was under control in 15."

) @) S) I( E/ s5 B8 O"When crews arrived there was a male who sustained some injuries during this event who was transported to U of A Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries."
