Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
( r9 I/ [6 R# G4 }7 u( B3 T        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
8 p4 g4 f; z$ V3 A        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
1 C* K2 c$ m& x! o- `, e        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
" {6 n8 g* Z; q7 A* ]+ B0 l•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
  H2 A  J+ t6 n+ z9 h; [•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
) z9 B" G9 a& q, M  C- R•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
% ~% q5 J# y$ C2 t6 `•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
5 C9 M/ B; D) K2 X, i; \•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
