; {9 t l, E U3 C( C7 [) rI repaired the door with a hole like that size when moving early this year. Very simple but need some detail works.

Firstly, search in home depot or rona, try to get some thin wood plates
# @5 @# E$ @2 c1 ]3 H" y' j$ D: Z9 `- W% \' O
Secondly, cut the wood plates into suitable size to fit the hole.
) d$ w. z2 A, Y6 m3 u# W) A+ [3 P3 o( K' y- C+ C. y
Thirdly, insert the cut plates into the hole, use screws or nails to support the plates from inside or outside.

( B0 ~0 n9 C" p; TFourth, use the dry wall filler (you could buy it from home depot or rona), to fill the step between the inserted plates and the door plane.

3 ?/ L) @- f0 e0 I) B) z9 nFinally, use the paint to get the same color as the door.
